iHome Mui Ne is simply fantastic! It's a beachfront hostel with the trendiest design and the most incredible surprises like free unlimited beer between 6 and 7 p.m. and a variety of cool games; this is a place you will never forget!
The Location
iHome Mui Ne is located very conveniently just in the middle of the Mui Ne Bay, which means that you get to enjoy the best part of the beach while still being relatively close to all the attractions the place has to offer. Fairy Stream is only a short walk away, for example. However, the best thing about this place is that it is right on the beach, which means you can start and end your days with a nice dip in the sea, watch the sunset from the terrace, or simply sit with a drink enjoying the sounds of the sea.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The rooms are located on the side of the street and are housed by some traditional-style palm leaf huts. This arrangement is great, as the music played in the common area won't bother you when you are trying to sleep. The dorms have huge and colourful bunk beds, which are protected by a mosquito net and are equipped with two electronic plugs each. There are lockers available in the rooms, but you need to bring your own padlock. The rooms are cooled by fans.
The bathrooms are on the side of the beach. They are spacious and there are plenty of showers and toilets available so you will never have to queue. Moreover, they are decorated with funny quotes and games, so even your time using the bathroom will not be boring.
Common Spaces
The whole hostel is organised around a huge, semi-covered terrace where you can chill in the hammock or double beds, eat (even though outside food or drinks are not allowed so you will have to order from the bar), and play table soccer or billiards. Around this, the whole area is covered in sand, which adds a nice atmosphere to the already cool beachside place. On the sand, you will find more wooden tables and chairs, swings, a double hammock, and a platform from which to watch the sunset. Next to the hostel, the beach is covered by palm trees and you can try the traditional string swing attached to one of them too. There is also a huge outdoors bar here where unlimited amounts of beer are served between 6 and 7 p.m. every day.
Summary
It is hard to find a hostel that is perfect in every aspect but iHome Mui Ne comes very close to it. The style, the location, the comfort, and the added extras leave very little to complain about and once you experience a beautiful sunset from here, you will definitely want to come back for more.
