La Casa Hostel is a modern and big house situated on one of the most frequented streets of Arraial do Cabo (Brasil). Here, you can find a young atmosphere because of the other backpackers and also it's run by a young team.
The Location
The hostel is located in the center of the village and near all the different facilities. You can find two big supermarkets on the street of the hostel, plus different shops and some bars and restaurants. The main beach (Playa Grande) is five minutes away from the hostel. Also on this street there's a taxi service and in fifteen minutes' walking, you can reach the bus station.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The hostel has two buildings. In the biggest one there's two private rooms and two dorm rooms of six and eight people. In the other building, there are two dorm rooms but one is only for the volunteers of the hostel. All the rooms have lockers, and each bed has a plug and a shelf.
There are two shared bathrooms located in the biggest building (in the other building there aren't bathrooms, and the guests have to go to the other building). The dorm room of eight has its own bathroom. All the bathrooms have a sink, a toilet, and an electric hot shower.
Common Spaces
In the biggest building are all the common spaces. In the entrance, there's the reception and the living room with a couple of sofas, a TV, a PlayStation, and a little library. It has a really clean, fully equipped and big kitchen. Your stay includes breakfast. In the garden, there's a big terrace divided in two parts. The first part is covered and it has a big table and a bar. The second part is an open space where there are some tables and chairs and also a big sink where you can wash your clothes by hand. On the ground floor of the other building, there's a ping-pong table.
Summary
La Casa Hostel is a nice place to stay and meet other young backpackers. All the spaces are very clean. The Wi-Fi signal works really good. It doesn't offer twenty-four-hour reception, but they give you a code to open the main door.
