Early Bird Hostel Ayutthaya is rather on the expensive side, but for your money you get outstanding service and facilities. The hostel is tiny, but it is located right on the doorstep of a lot of the historic temples for which Ayutthaya is so famous, and it offers amazing buffet breakfast and a really comfortable bed.
The Location
Early Bird is located in the northeast of the center of Ayutthaya, in a convenient place for exploring the historic heritage of the city. In fact, if you follow the route suggested by the tourist maps distributed in tourist information bureaus, you are in the perfect spot here to start your daily excursion. Moreover, the bus terminal is only ten minutes on foot from here and the train station is in walking distance as well and you will find a lot of supermarkets and eateries around the hostel.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The hostel only offers two rooms that are identical except for the fact that one has six beds and the other has eight. They are all bunk beds with nice, colourful curtains around them and the room has excellent-quality air conditioning inside. Upon check-in, you get your set of keys -- one to open the front door and one to get inside your room. However, it is good to be aware that check-in closes at 7 p.m. and after that it will be a real hassle to get inside, so make sure to only book if you are certain you will make it there in time. The bathrooms are at the back of the building and it is good that they are kept apart, as they do smell of sewage water even if the hostel tries its best to counterbalance it with all kinds of air fresheners.
Common Spaces
There is a really cute little garden area belonging to the hostel, where it is nice to chill especially in the evenings. This is also where the buffet breakfast is served in the mornings, which is fantastic -- from cereals with milk through fresh fruit to toast and biscuits, everybody will find something to their taste here! There is also a tiny reading corner inside, which is a nice addition in case it rains. The only downside about the hostel is that it recently received new neighbours who are doing huge renovation works, which guarantee an early wake up for everybody!

Early Bird is everything you can ask for in a hostel -- impeccably clean and neat, it is a cozy place both to chill and to rest your weary head after a day of sightseeing.

• - By Train:
• From Bangkok's "Hua Lamphong" Railway Station, get off at "Ayutthaya" Railway Station. Then, there are 2 choices;
• A. Take a local taxi, known as "Tuk-Tuk" (50-100 baht), directly to the hostel.
• *** If needed, give them our map (find from our photo) or show below message.
• "??????????? ??????????????? ??????? 7-11 ??????????????????????????" ***
• B. Walk across the road and take a ferry (?10 baht) to cross "Pa Sak" river. After that, take a right on "Uthong" road and follow this road for 5 min. Turn left into "Pa Maphrao" road and walk around 10 min. Early Bird Hostel is located just opposite of 7-11 convenience store.
• - By Minivan:
• From Bangkok's "Mo Chit" Bus Terminal (Chatuchak), take a Bangkok-Ayutthaya minivan (?70 baht) about 1 hour and get off at the end of the route at Naresuan road (Chao Phrom market). Walk into Naresuan Soi 2, known as Farang Street, until reaching "Pa Maphrao" road. Take a left into this road and walk around 6 min. Early Bird Hostel is located just opposite of 7-11 convenience store.
