Nomads Noosa Backpackers, a nice hostel in Noosa, is known as one of the party hostels in town. The hostel is located in the center of the city, a short, ten-minute walk from the main beach. This hostel has a lot of beds available and the facilities are really nice, with exception of the kitchen, which is small for so many people and sometimes can get a little bit messy. This hostel is a good value for money, specially for its location, facilities, services provided (free pickup from the bus stop), and friendly staff.
Noosa has two main commercial streets and this hostel is located on one of them; the other main street (beachfront) is within ten-minutes' walking distance from the hostel, so it's easily reachable. At night, if you prefer to have a drink on this street, don't worry about coming back at night - Noosa is a really safe city. Because of the hostel's location, you have access to a lot of shops, liquor shops, cafes, restaurants, travel agencies, and supermarkets. This hostel offers a free pickup from the main bus stop (it's only five minutes' walking distance, but with all your luggage, this pickup is really worth it).
Rooms and Bathrooms
The rooms are really nice, with comfortable bunk beds and with enough space for you and your bags. At check-in, you will pay a key deposit. The rooms don't have lockers for everybody, so you will have to pay attention to your belongings. This hostel provides free linen, and the beds are already made, so you don't need to worry with that. The bathrooms are inside the dorms and there are only two showers and a toilet, so in big dorms that can sometimes sleep up to sixteen people, it can become really crowded. The showers have good pressure and hooks to hang your clothes, but only enough space to put your soap -- the shampoo and conditioner have to be on the ground.
This hostel has its own bar, which also offers meals on a budget at the beginning of the night, and later on, cheap drinks and nice music (it's a very nice place to meet other people). Other really nice facilities include a swimming pool, a sand volleyball field, and tables outside to have breakfast or lunch. The only exception is the kitchen, which is really poor with providing the utensils you need (only one sharp knife, for example); you'll have to pay a deposit to have a kitchen kit, composed by a plate; one bowl; one cup; one fork, spoon, and knife.
In the end, the overall impression is good - this place has great facilities and location on a budget, and is the perfect place to meet people from all the world and share some stories in the beautiful city of Noosa.
