Hostel Centrum Sabot is a small budget accommodation in an excellent location. The check-in process is simple. You are provided with the key to an assigned locker in your dorm, as well as keys to the building and to the hostel. There is no lock for the dorm room.
Guests are asked to complete a registration form upon check-in. There is no additional deposit required. Towels are not included in the fee. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hostel, but it does not work very well -- although they say they will change this soon.
The Location
Hostel Centrum Sabot is located very near to the Galeria and the bus and train stations. The hostel is also very close to Old Town, and a great outdoor market. It's fairly easy to find.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The rooms are a bit cramped, but laid out in a interesting way. There are plenty of outlets per bed, and each bed comes with a locker with lock. There are lots of tables for the lower bunks; some storage for the top bunks would be nice. Beds are already made when you arrive -- each bed has a comforter, and there are extra clean blankets placed in the room for colder nights.
There is one room with two showers. The showers are separated only by curtains, but there is a lock on the shower room door. There is also just one sink for the showers and to separate toilet stalls, of which there are two. The toilet rooms are little small but fine for what they are. Both the shower room and toilet rooms are kept clean and tidy.
Common Spaces
There is a cozy common area right near reception. It isn't huge, but big enough for six to eight people to sit around and check their phones or map out their next destination.
There is a very cute balcony just off the kitchen. Smoking is not allowed on the balcony, but it faces an empty courtyard, and on warmer days, it would be a nice place to spend an afternoon.
The kitchen is modern and well equipped. There is complimentary coffee (instant and Bialetti espresso) and an assortment of teas and cereals -- there is a very nice selection. It is clear that the hostel wants its guests to feel comfortable.
Summary
Hostel Centrum Sabot is a surprisingly nice and cozy hostel for the price. The location is really excellent, with loads of restaurants and cafes nearby, including the market. It seems that they are working constantly on improving the conditions of the hostel, but as it stands it is a cute and comfortable place to stay.
