Fabrika Hostel & Suites is housed in an old Soviet textiles factory -- what a place!

The Location

Although Fabrika Isn't located in the centre of the Old Town where most of the action is, it is its own entity and the area is hipster and definitely happening. The courtyard is filled with locals, shops, bars, and restaurants and it's pumping all day every day, and night! You are only a ten-minute walk to the metro, or if you're feeling energetic only a half-an-hour's walk all the way into the Old Town. There is so much going on there, it would be easy to spend all your days in the area. You have food options and plenty of supermarkets, cafes, and stores nearby as well.

Rooms and Bathrooms

The hostel is huge, like four hundred beds huge. They only have a few dorms and a decent amount of family and private rooms. As it's an old factory, the rooms are huge -- even in a twelve-bed dorm you have so much space. There are lockers and a table with chairs, so there's plenty of space to spend your time and keep your stuff and it has twenty-four-hour air conditioning, which is a must for those Georgian summers! The only downside to the room is it is quite bright due to the happenings in the courtyard, so pack your eye mask!
The bathrooms are huge -- another bonus of being an old factory! There are never queues for the showers and there are bulk toilets. The showers are the much-dreaded push ones, however they seemed to stay on a lot longer than others and cause no issues. The shower curtains don't provide one hundred percent privacy, but they are single sex and give you enough space between guests and they even throw in free soap. There are long benches and more lockers than you could count, so there's plenty of space to pop your stuff.

Common Spaces

With so much happening in this hostel, common spaces are in abundance; however they are perhaps not the best for the solo traveler, unless you meet some cool cats in your room. There are a lot of locals who visit Fabrika, especially for the evenings, so if you're bold, meeting people can be a breeze. There is a huge indoor bar, as well as the restaurant where they serve the ultimate all-you-can-eat breakfast for a reasonable price. There is also a kitchen for guests to use, which is an added bonus for when you have eaten all the Georgian food you can handle. Outside in the courtyard there is seating and tables in front of all the different bars and restaurants, where you can grab some food and drinks and chill out for the evening.

Summary

What a unique hostel this is! Where else can you stay in an old Soviet factory for the night? they have held onto the factory's Soviet vibes and made it into a funky, happening hostel. The staff are friendly, although it has almost hotel-like procedures in place. It's super clean and has everything you could want! It's definitely the place to stay in Tbilisi, if you're looking for something unique!

Located in the old historical district of Tbilisi, Fabrika is close to some of the coolest attractions and hidden gems around the neighborhood. You can either walk through the winding backstreets to the main square of the city or use a metro 4 minutes away from our location. Public transport is just a few minutes walking distance from the hostel. Enclosed in our yard you will find urban cafes and bars, art education studios, artists workshops hosting various events.
Fabrika offers 24 hours reception, security, fast and free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, luggage room, private lockers, comfortable lobby, event calendar, maps/brochures, book exchange, laundry facilities, not to mention a cool rooftop and possibilities to do a pub crawl with locals.

Our guests can taste our delicious breakfast at a minimal fee or use a fully equipped self-service kitchen.
All dorms are equipped with power sockets, bed light, linen & bedding, lockable storage, table & chair.

• Directions from Tbilisi Airport to FABRIKA Hostel (8 Ninoshvili Street)
• 1. FABRIKA Hostel Transfers – upon request we will be happy to personally drive you to the hostel.
• 2. Metro – Hostel is well connected to the metro system. You can use the train to travel from Tbilisi Airport to the Central Railway Station, where you can take a metro to get to FABRIKA Hostel. Marjanishvili metro station is where you get off and walk for about 5 minutes to get to the hostel.
• 3. Bus - Regular buses stop at the bus station in front of the Arrival hall of Tbilisi Airport, Municipality Bus # 37 serves the route -Airport-Tbilisi city center. Working hours - from 07:00 to 23:00. It travels via Samgori (where you can change for the metro). Marjanishvili metro station is where you get off and walk for about 5 minutes to get to the hostel.
• 4. Taxi – you can use a cab to get to the hostel. It usually takes around 25 minutes to get to the city center and costs approximately GEL 25 (approximately $12).
• FABRIKA Hostel is located in the old part of town, in the heart of the city. Restaurants, tourist attractions, bars, supermarkets and pharmacies are within close walking distance.
