Best Hostel we have stayed in Europe.
We loved our stay at Corfu backpackers and the pink palace, The staff were friendly, nice sea view rooms, met some wonderful people and most of all we loved the food. we wish we had more time to spent there and take part in all the activities, we only joined their quad safari which was an amazing and unique experience and the best way to explore and see the island. will define telly love to go back.
Lovely place to visit
I was picked up from the ferry as promised and welcomed to the hostel by very friendly staff. The room was really nice and clean and the food was delicious. I loved the beautiful location and took many walks around the area and along the beach. Excellent value for money, I really enjoyed my stay there and would recommend it to other backpackers.
Great food! Amazing setting
One of the best hostels I have stayed in. The food was amazing and they picked me up from the airport for free, which is rare for a hostel. The staff were friendly and my room was very clean. There is a party scene if you want it and plenty to do during the day. An absolute must!!
Amazing
We arrived at the port at 6am and was not expecting someone to go so much out of their way to only pick up me and my husband but the staff did! They went out of their way always to help us set up excursions and have a relaxing time. We stayed longer because we were having such a good time. They even let guests use the facilities of their other property which is very very nice and they have a private beach with free chairs. We did not expect so much for our money and will be back very soon.
Very disappointing...and deceptive. This hostel is actually the same place as the Pink Palace. I planned to stay for five nights, and stayed for one instead. Sorry guys, but you get the thumbs down from me and the crew. Thanks for the 3-euro charge to take us back to the port, too.
I had a vacation within my vacation in this cozy hostel. It's a great place to stay, situated on the most beautiful spot of the island. If you are looking for a good meal and a clean place, go here. From my room I had the best beach view, and saw some amazing sunsets. Meals are included in the price of the room. They also have a 24-hour bar with a large variety of cocktails at very low prices. Food is also inexpensive, and their meals were huge. It is a very good value for the money. The best thing is that they also provide free transport from the port and back. While in Corfu make sure you visit the castle on the south part of the island, not far from where the hostel is. And definitely visit the monastery of Paleokastritsa. I took wonderful photos there.
A very clean, relaxing, and friendly hostel. It has great rooms with sea views and fantastic sunsets. The food was excellent and the staff were very helpful. I met a lot of other travellers. I went for 2 nights and ended up staying for 9 days. It is a heaven on earth. I recommend it to anyone who wants to chill out, relax, and experience local hospitality.
Backpacker's Haven was the highlight of our trip. We were there for five days and loved everything about it. A wonderful breakfast and three-course dinner were included in the price, all for 20 euros. They picked us up from the port; the hostel is situated on a beautiful sandy beach and near a little traditional Greek town with lots of nice inexpensive little tavernas and local stores. The rooms were very clean and had a fantastic beach view. We ended up staying for five days instead of three. Once you are there it is hard to leave. The staff take such good care of you, and we were having so much fun, meeting and making a lot of new friends. The food was great; make sure you try their moussaka and homemade baklava. We rented quads for the day and saw the whole island. The place is nice and relaxing; it is a great gateway if you want to just enjoy the beach and have a relaxing and quiet holiday.
Corfu beach backpackers doesnt exist, its just Pink Palace.
The ONLY redeeming features of our 9 night stay was the beautiful view from our room, the variety of food at dinner was great and the lady who made our coffee at the beach house every morning was a delight. Other than this, easily the worst hostel Ive ever stayed in. The rooms were like ovens, the shower basin didnt drain, toilet didnt flush (need a sign for appropriate disposal of toilet paper), aircon worked terribly and no one informed us
Huge hostel, offering very nice breakfast and dinner (paid), nice beach, very helpful staff ( they also offer transfer to airport and port-paid, but much less then taxi and more convenient then the bus ). The only thing missing is a personal locker in the room, although they offer safety boxes at the reception. In general I found it great!
Excellent hotel, great view over the sea, value for money. The only thing is that the check-out time d quite early at 10:00am
Corfu backpackers IS pink palace hostel.
Location in Agios Gordios is good; by the sea and so many good restaurants ( go to Thalassa!!!!), but when it comes to exploring the rest of the island its pretty inconvenient, last bus from corfu town to agios gordios is at 8:30 and there isnt any other public transport alternative.
overall, experience was pleasent, breakfast was so good, room was clean,
recommend it!
Good location and helpful staff. Lots to do even if you're not interested in the party side of the hostel!
Amazing location right on the beach. Connected to Pink Palace. Party environment at night is extremely fun and makes it quite easy to meet other guests. Facilities are a little poor but that's the compromise you make for staying at such a fun hostel. Made a great group of friends here.
Great hostel for the price! This is actually the pink palace hostel, its not a separate property. Overall a nice place to stay
Great value and an unbeatable spot! Staff were friendly and it is a perfect spot for a weekend away or a long stay! Would recommend to anyone
The Hostel was honestly not what we expected from all the good previous reviews. The staff was quite unfriendly and even got rude when we asked for some pieces of paper and a marker. The bathroom of our shared room was super dirty and smelled very bad. The facilities were ok but we really missed a common room or a kitchen which is rather normal for a hostel.
Everything good except staff that has given us different information concerning the luggage room which was irritating and disappointing but in the end everything worked out well.
Besides that we really enjoyed resting during the rain at your place after some camping days with smiling staff.
Nice offer the breakfast and dinner buffet.
The breakfast we tried out and it was full of plastic..... it was not so nice to see that these days... Good selection though!
The highlight of this place was the girls in my dorm and the buffet breakfast and dinner by the hostel. The hostel had activities available but you really had to push to find out anything, including transport information. No brochures or maps at the front desk regarding tours or things to do. Met some cool people and went the lemon tree, (the bar associated with the pink palace was closed) but there isn't heaps to do around the pink palace. Hostel beach is very average.
I had the best stay here. Madga is an amazing women. Cooking food for us as the local shops were shut. She let us go on her kayaks. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Great location by the beach. If u have the chance GO!!!! Balconys on the room too :))
This place is amazing and the people work there is so helpful I felt like home .
My stay was overall fantastic. The location is amazing. Definitely coming back
Only the wi fi is not working in the all places...
It will be a long review. The most innocent inconvenience was that the beds were so uncomfortable that I woke up at night because my back hurt, it was quite dirty in the room, the showers and toilets do not function well and the personnel is rude. They use plastic cups that go to the ocean and the food is worse than the school canteen level. The worst thing is that they SCAM PEOPLE INTO BELIEVING THAT IT IS A BACKPACKERS HOSTEL, WHILE THE REAL NAME IS PINK PALACE HOTEL: parties and group s*x
Very big facility, they do well keeping up with cleaning and changing out dirty towels/making beds even if your not checking out. I heard the front desk people can be quite rude but they were friendly and informative when I spoke to them at all hours. The facility is designed for at least 100-200 people so its not very intimate, partnered with pink palace so its basically pink palace.
Dont expect a backpacker hostel. There is no such a place. The place is just the pink palace- a huge resort lacking any coziness, common areas or backpacking sense. Its just a party resort that is too old and needs renovation.
Its a good hostel to stay if you want to meet people, its by the beach and in the bar there are events every night. The surrounding of the hostel is also beautiful. However, the rooms dont have a lot of atmosphere, there are no lockers and no wardrobes to store your stuff and the bathroom is very small and you dont have a lot of privacy.
Got bed bugs. Room was super hot. No AC and little ventilation in our room. Plus this hostel is actually The Pink Palace. There is no corfu backpackers. Im not sure why that is, but if youre looking for Corfu Backpackers when you arrive, its going to take you to the Pink Pallaxe and that is it. Its more like a compound of 100s of rooms versus an intimate hostel.
