Combo Venezia Reviews from the Web

Its a great place for a few nights, but I wouldnt recommend if youre looking for the classic hostel vibe. It caters to many different kinds of travellers, including families and students. Very quiet and peaceful, and has a great restaurant. The main landmarks were reachable pretty easily in a 15-20 min walk or there is a vaporetto stop very close by. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful.

Not really what I expected. Stunning venue but for the price paid they fell short on some of the simple little details which far cheaper venues managed to get right straight away . Both laundry rooms had their irons stolen and they havent been replaced, seemed the venue just took an it it what it is attitude. The toilets in our hostel dont have keys to lock anymore, apparently somebody got stuck once. The mixed dorms are just a collection of twin rooms in an apartment, my biggest gripe.

The mixed dorms are awesome because you still get a private 2 person room (great if you are travelling as a duo). The hostel is beautiful. The room are nice. Not super sound proof though and the mixed bathrooms and showers arent very private so you should feel comfortable with both boys and girls (its just a curtain separating you in the shower, not a locked door). The kitchen facilities are great. Location is a little walk out of town so depends what you want.

Great hostel with a great history - located in a quieter area of Venice but still a quick walk to the main areas and vaporetto stops. The "6 bed mixed dorm" is actually 3x2 bed rooms which could be a bit weird for a solo traveller depending on who's in your room and the bathrooms are a bit lacking in privacy. Otherwise loved my stay here, got everything you might want at a great price.

Another wonderful stay at Combo . Last stayed here 2019 and it was so special to return here again and enjoy the lovely ambiance of this very special building.

Fantastic! Best hostel/airbnb Ive stayed at

Beautiful, lovely place to be, friendly staff amazing location cannot fault :)

This place was amazing. It is located out Of the hustle and bustle of San Marco but has a lounge, bar and restaurant within it.

The building itself is beautiful and historic. I thought I booked a 6-bed dorm but was surprised to learn that I was only sharing a room with one other person and that the dorm was the suite of rooms all connected by a kitchen, lounge and bathroom.

I would highly recommend this place!

Lovely building, there seems to be plenty going on there. The hostel is a very short walk from the airport waterbus stop which we were grateful for with our huge backpacks. I found it expensive for what it was but we booked a private room and it had everything we needed so i cant complain. My only negative comment is that I feel venice itself is not worth the visit, its overrated, the food we had was overpriced and sub par and the area was very touristy with little to do.

Loved my time at Combo!! Staying in the most beautiful historical building, right off the water, I couldn't believe where I was staying. Combo had the best accommodations, took care of me as a guest, and had the most comfy bed + lovely shower. 10/10 recommend getting a private room here!!

Lovely and atmospheric place! Its on the outskirts of Venice so the hostel is the perfect hideaway from the massive waves of tourism in the summer months. The restaurant is expensive but there is an exclusive hostel discount. Even if you dont eat there, its nice to lounge about in the courtyard and people-watch. As a monastery, the place is a maze and the corridors could do with better signposting. Staff went above and beyond to help us navigate the labyrinthine corridors. The kitchen is in the strangest

This hostel is the best Ive stayed in so far. The rooms are spacious, property is well maintained and location is great. Must stay!

Pleasant stay.

Extremely surprise as I booked a 8 bed dorm and it was separated into 4 rooms, so I was sharing with one other guest, which was a pleasant suprisse, huge rooms, helpful staff. Location is great.

I was very unimpressed with this place. Our 2 rooms both had black mold on the AC units. One of the rooms had so much mold it was uninhabitable and we had to move the mattresses to the other room. In the middle of the night we were woken up to the ceiling leaking dirty rain water all over our mattresses. It was dirty and we felt gross staying here so we left in the morning and went to another hotel. We were only refunded for one of the rooms despite both rooms not being suitable accommodations.

Wonderful!! Perfect location, you can have breakfast on the canal, super friendly staff, has everything you need. Beautiful building and common areas.

Can. Not. Recommend. Enough!!!! Went on a 3-week trip around Europe and this was by far the best hostel we stayed in.

Amazing location, beautiful building, large rooms, cleaners providing new towels and making the bed every morning!! (this was a huge shock especially considering all the other hostels we stayed in). The best way I can describe it is- it was more like a hotel than a hostel.

10/10 worth the money, would even consider returning here rather than staying at a hotel

Very nice! I loved it! Only issues Is if youre a solo traveler, it might be harder to meet people because when I was there the hostel didnt really organize social activities besides a dj set!

The private room for two was lovely in this hostel. Separate shower from toilet was great, and we had functioning stove which we did not expect. The hostel is a bit outside the main tourist flow but that's probably for the best since it's a short walk to the chaos. Venice itself has a declining population so most of the restaurants and stores are geared toward tourists. Venice is very quiet because no cars are allowed on most islands. Great for a family or partnered vacation, not for party.

This hostel was great! My room was huge and clean. Great location and the bar serves a cappuccino and pastry for a great price. I recommend grabbing the water bus in if you have a lot of luggage. Really simple to do! (take the 4.2 bus and get off at F.te Nove!)

Fabulous central base. Wonderful vibe and well run.

Located in the restored Ex Convento dei Crociferi just a few steps away from Rialto and the lively Mercato del Pesce, Combo Venezia is a hub for both locals and travelers.
The hostel offers beds in modern, functional rooms with ensuite bathrooms and air-conditioning. Some rooms also have their own kitchenette with induction hobs and living area.

In the spirit of the city, Combo Venezia hosts a typical Bacaro, serving snacks and cicchetti.
The restaurant has an international and eclectic menu for you to choose from at any time of the day.

The reception-bar is open 24/7 and our young, multilingual staff will be happy to tell you all about which events are going on and how to escape the busiest routes.
Wi-Fi is available in communal areas.
We also offer a free luggage storage when you check in and check out.

A rich breakfast with salty and sweet products is available from 7:30 to 11:00 am.

You have access to extensive communal areas including the suggestive 'Corte degli Aranci', a large and pleasant cloister that hosts some fragrant orange trees. There you can design your day in Venice or meeting other travellers, by drinking a spritz, the typical Venetian drink.
The sun-drenched terrace overlooking the canal is the perfect place to grab a bite to eat and watch boats go by.
Combo Venezia is much more than a simple hostel.

Venice's old town is fully pedestrianized, bicycle and other cycles are strictly forbidden.
Combo Venezia is situated in the Cannaregio district, a neighborhood with authentic charm, just two minutes walk from the Vaporetto stop Fondamenta Nove. It is easily reachable by foot from Venezia Santa Lucia rail-station, and just a few steps from St Mark's Square. The maze-like streets of Venice are just beyond our walls.
