There are 25 rooms at the hostel. 2-6 bedded rooms, and a family rooms
There are duvets and pillows in the beds, so guests can bring theyr own
bed linen or hire it at the hostel. Guests can also use a sleeping bag
if they prefer. Its a well equipped guest kitchen where the guests
may cook their own meals, without extra payment.
This hostel serve a breakfast it have to be order the day before.
There are 25km to next supermarket and gasstation.
The National Park Skaftafell is 45km to east of the hostel.
While walking around the hostel you see a different kinds of birds,
you can see sheep.
12-15km to east is Núpsstaður.
Núpsstaður is the easternmost farm in Fljótshverfi .An old turf farmhouse remains standing at Núpsstaður, together with an ancient chapel, one of very few turf churches remaining in Iceland.
Núpsstaður ceased to be an acknowledged church in 1765, but ecclesiastical activities never died out completely. In 1930 the chapel was declared a protected ancient monument, and in 1961 it was
reconsecrated.
