Sow & Piglets Guesthouse Reviews

Everything, from the owners to the dorms, is perfect in this hostel. We had our hesitations because somebody had left poor opinions on it. Maybe they where expecting The Ritz. Everything was new a clean. They wait for us as we suffered a delayed and arrived there quite late. They gave us adviced on the area.

Wonderful! I want to stay again!

This hostel is pretty good! I can enjoy enough time. And receptionist is very kind!

Clean, open space, close to everything.

I only spent one night, but it was comfortable and very close to the Info center with free WiFi. Only 1 hour of WiFi per day is available. May be a good idea to get people to talk to each other. The hostel is well run and very clean. Lots of space in the rooms and good windows for lots of light.

Had arrived quite late at the hostel but everything was well prepared for us.

Comfortable Accomodation to stay

This is a clean and tidy hostel, great for a night's stop off. It is very near the beach. The price of accommodation is quite affordable for backpackers.

Very clean, very new, very affordable, and quiet

Best. Value, cleanest and newest backpacker I've been to. Spacious dorm and (downstairs) living areas. New comfy clean beds!! Near 12 apostles, spectacular city beach around the corner. Not many places to eat nearby, But well equipped kitchen to cook.

Great hostel; quiet during the winter

This is a great hostel with a nice kitchen, outdoor bbq area, reception, large common area, and comfortable beds. when I was there, it was winter and there were very few people, so I'm not sure how it is when it fills up, but otherwise it was very clean, and nice. In winter make sure to come early as the town will shut down at around 5pm. Contrary to the picture, you can't see the apostilles from the hostel or the town for that matter, but it's a short drive to all the great ocean road sites, and the hostel has a really handy map. Only con was it was a bit cold at night.

Excellent accomodation and value

This is the place to stay if you are visiting Port Campbell. Friendly staff, clean accommodation rooms and amenities. Most of all close to everything in town and only a short drive to the 12 Appostiles and other sight seeing areas. Can't express enough how good this accommodation is. Recommend it to all types of travelers.

Great place to stay on the Great Ocean Road! The manager, Jerry, was lovely and looked after us well. It's situated on top of a little craft brewery so I had to try every beer, and all were worth it. Facilities were clean and well kept and lots of options available to stay. Was pretty quiet when I was there (due covid and school holidays ending) but it didn't impact my time at all! Highly recommend this place either for one night like myself or a few if you want to look around the area.

Really good and spacious bedrooms, beautiful and comfy lounge. Delicious pizzas for dinner, good beer, one of the best IPA Ive tried. Staff 100%. Ill come back more times for sure.

The two single rudest interactions Ive ever had with staff at a hostel, completely unprovoked. Check in was very abrupt and staff member seemed irked that I was there. Next morning after leaving sheets and key at reception as asked, I sat in the common area for 30min to use wifi. Same guy came past, whistled and clicked at me like a dog, and said aggressively get out, check out was at 10am. Ive never stayed at a hostel with this much animosity towards guests by the person running the place.

Great place to stay when your going for a trip down the Great Ocean Road!

Good accommodation, staff were friendly, beer was good and a comfortable stay on the Great Ocean Road

Impeccably clean! Recently refurbished. But very weird that the toilet and shower cubicles are directly accessible straight from the hallway..

Great hostel, great beer, great service. Thoroughly recommend a stay especially if youve got a dry sense of humour!

All facilities and room is clean.. just The receptionist not really nice to costumer, i know we are just foreigner but we paid for the accommodation. Please treat us fair

Loved this place! It's funky on the inside and the manager is really nice

Good pizza and beer too

Friendly. Fun. Chill. Beers were good.

Very helpful and generous manager. Loved the layout and vibe of the place. Close to shops and beach.

Its a nice hostel with a nice common area, really clean and a chilled out vibe. Only negative was the guy was super rude when we arrived. Told us to "keep it clean yeah" and "don't lose your keys ey" in a rude tone. Charged our credit card before we arrived too which was unexpected. And whats worse is I found out that we'd been accidentally charged $600 3 days after we stayed too, luckilywe noticed and he paid it back. So if you book make sure he deletes your credit card details afterwards!

My stay was great, Jerry was very accommodating I felt Well looked after! Great place thank you!!
