Inversnaid Bunkhouse :
"The essential stop on the West Highland Way for walkers who want to feel as good at the finish as they did at the start"
Originally a 19th century church, now converted into quality budget accommodation and a licensed coffee shop. Inversnaid Bunkhouse is a unique hostel with facilities specifically designed to rejuvenate and refresh both body and mind! Complete with original stained glass windows, in a truly serene setting, the bunkhouse provides a welcoming retreat in a totally unspoilt part of Scotland. We are located on the east shore of Loch Lomond, only 800m from the West Highland Way, in the heart of Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park.
We aim to provide walkers with the best chance to fully enjoy their own challenge by providing facilities to help them rest, recover and prepare for the next stage of their journey. We have travelled extensively ourselves and understand the needs of weary trekkers. We provide foot spas, massage therapy and an outdoor hot tub: the ultimate recuperation for tired aching muscles!
Accommodation consists of 6 rooms sleeping 2 - 4 people in each room. All bed linen is supplied and towels are available for hire. There are male and female shower blocks, a boot/drying room and a laundry room. Single and family rooms are available on request. Meals and breakfast are served in The Snaid Coffee Shop, and packed lunches are supplied on request. Massage treatments should be booked in advance, if possible. Or you may be lucky if the masseur is already on the premises.
The Snaid Licensed Coffee Shop offers good food and drink all day, a great selection of Real Ale, Continental Lagers and fine wines, and a place to relax and chat to fellow travelers. There are lots of games and books, 2 computers with internet access, TV, videos and games consul. For WHW walkers we offer continental breakfast & packed lunch. We also cater for lunch groups, by arrangement.
