Zostel Pushkar is a hostel located near the holy lake in Pushkar. It is a part of the Zostel chain in India that has hostels in other locations throughout the country. Zostel Pushkar offers a variety of accommodation including private rooms, dorm guest rooms with 4, 8-bed capacity bed with rooms for mixed gender and dorms only for women. The Wi-Fi works well everywhere at Zostel Pushkar. The environment is very chill mainly due to the outdoor spaces, including a large pool! Pushkar is a dry town so do not expect to find a party hostel here. Zostel Pushkar has a travel desk where guests can book transportation via train, bus or taxi to their next destination. Do note that breakfast is not included in the price of the room but is available at the Zostel cafe for an extra charge.
The Location
Zostel Pushkar is located about 15 minutes on foot from the city center, which circles the holy lake of Pushkar. The bus station is also about 15 minutes away on foot, or guests may take an auto rickshaw. There are a few places to eat near Zostel Pushkar. Most eateries are located in the nearby city center. Pushkar is a holy place and alcoholic beverages are not served here. Most places close by 11 PM.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The dorm rooms at Zostel Pushkar have big lockers that are secured with individual locks, bring your own as Zostel Pushkar does not provide locks. The bed dorm room beds are great. Some dorm rooms have an ensuite bathroom. Each bunk bed has it a charging station and a light. Zostel Pushkar was not very clean. There was a mouse in the dorm room. Towels can be rented.
Common Spaces
There are several common areas throughout Zostel Pushkar. On the ground floor there is a large cozy lounge area, a pool table, kitchen, and a swimming pool. On the top floor, there is a restaurant where guests can eat breakfast. Upstairs there are two outdoor patios. The reception desk is on the main floor near the building entrance.
Summary
Zostel Pushkar did not meet the reviewer's expectations of cleanliness otherwise she would have enjoyed her stay here. Other than cleanliness the facilities at Zostel Pushkar are great.

• Zostel Pushkar is situated away in the quiet part of Pushkar away from the usual chaos and din. It is only a kilometer away from the bus stop and the Pushkar Lake is just a stroll away.
• Coming by Bus:
• Pushkar is well connected to Ajmer by bus. You can find buses at regular interval plying from Ajmer to Pushkar city. As you enter Pushkar city via Pushakar Road, get off at the turn marked Panch Kund Road.
• Continue straight on Panch Kund Road for 500 mts and take a right on to a smaller road. Zostel Pushkar would be on you right side.
• Coming by Train:
• Nearest Railway Station is Ajmer, situated at a distance of 11 km from Pushkar.
• As you arrive at Ajmer Junction, you can either take a cab or a local bus. When you enter Pushkar city via Pushakar Road, take a left turn towards Panch Kund Road.
• Continue straight on Panch Kund Road for 500 mts and take a right on to a smaller road. Zostel Pushkar would be on you right side.
• Coming by Cab:
• As you enter Pushkar city via Pushakar Road, take a left turn towards Panch Kund Road. Continue straight on Panch Kund Road for 500 mts and take a right on to a smaller road. Zostel Pushkar would be on you right side.
• Charges:
• Cab charges from Ajmer station to Pushkar city : Rs 500
