• How to reach Casa Bacarira: Unfortunately the best way to reach our House is by car, as the public transportation is poor in the area. A car is also the best method to explore the many beaches and other places around us. Another way to explore the are is by bicycle! we can arrange a rental bike for you.
• It is possible to come here by bus. Camburi is only 170 km from São Paulo, crossing an impressive mountain chain called “Serra do Mar”, so the bus trip can take up to 5 hours! The journey will be worth it once you arrive and have a shower with our delicious water from the mountain, heated by solar panels.
• From São Paulo: Take the bus from Litorânea Bus company or PÁssaro Marron, is the same company, that leaves from Tietê Bus Station or from Guarulhos Airport. Get a bus ticket to Boissucanga. Ask the bus driver to get off at the bus stop called “sertão do camburi”.
• Cross the road. In front of the Health Station called ESF there is a public phone. Use it to call us to arrange transportation from there to our house. As we are located 3 km from this bus stop you can walk from the bus stop to here, but it's about a 40 minutes walk.Keep walking down the Tijucas street untill you reach a bus stop with a sign of our place, take the right and continue for more about 15min walking. You will pass by a small public school, we are about 1 km after the school in the righ side of the street. We really do not recommend walking at night, as the lightning is poor.
• From Rio de Janeiro:Go to the Central Bus Station and get a ticket to São Sebastião from a bus company called UTIL. The trip takes about 10-12 hours. If possible take the overnight bus and you´ll be arriving at Sao Sebastião downtown around 6 am. From the Sao Sebastiao downtown bus station you´ll need to take a regular bus that goes to Bertioga or Boracéia. Ask the bus driver to get off at the bus stop called “sertão do camburi”. When you get off the bus take your left and walk to the Health Station called ESF, there is a public phone in front of it. Use it to call us to arrange transportation from there to our house. As we are located 3 km from this bus stop you can walk from the bus stop to here, but it's about a 40 minutes walk.
