• From Cancun and Playa del Carmen: You can drive on the road 307 south to the junction of Cafetales (or Mahahual-CostaMaya), turn left at the junction of 55km to reach Mahahual. By bus, there is a run on ADO from Cancun (passing through Playa del Carmen) and reaches Mahahual. Another option more often times is to take the bus to Mayab Lemons and from there take a taxi to Mahahual. (Distance from Cancun Mahahual: 350km, Playa del Carmen-Mahahual: 280km)
• From Mérida: You can drive on the No. 261 route to Muna, from where it connects with the No. 184 route to Felipe Carrillo Puerto, where you should take south on the No. 307 road to the diversion of Cafetales (or Mahahual-Costa Maya), take a left turn 55km to reach Mahahual. Buses run from Merida to Chetumal, and from there connect with ADO or CARIBE to Mahahual. (Distance Mérida-Mahahual by Felipe Carrillo Puerto: 400km)
• From Chetumal: drives on road No. 307 north to the diversion of Cafetales (or Mahahual-Costa Maya) and turn right diverting 55km to reach Mahahual. (Chetumal-Mahahual Distance: 140km)
