Pitlochry Youth Hostel is a comfortable night's stay at affordable prices and welcomes bikers, walkers, families, groups, and individuals. You do need to notify them in advance if you are a group and need meals and breakfasts.
The Pitlochy SYHA is located in the Victorian town of the same name, sort of right in the centre of Scotland to the south of the Cairngorms. The old-style house in which you stay fits well with the rest of the town. Pitlochry is an area renowned for its whiskey distilleries, so you might want to base here before you head out and hit the local ales. Or it could be a good stopping off point between Edinburgh and the north.
Rooms and Bathrooms
Pitlochry SYHA has sixty-two beds and is segregated into sections. Everything is clean and well organized with linen provided. Most rooms have bunk beds with the odd single bed in the room as well.
The hostel does provide a continental breakfast and packed lunch if you like, otherwise avail yourself of the equipped kitchen and self cater. There is a large dining area where you can enjoy your meal and relax into the evening. There is also an internet room where there are reading materials and comfy couches as well.
There is not a lot of parking at the hostel and getting in/out of the lot is something of a nightmare, so good luck with that.
