• Waverley Train Station:
• From Waverley Station take the Market St exit and turn right when you get out of the station. Cross the road and head up Fleshmarket Close. When you reach the top The Southern Cross Café will be on your left. Next to the Southern Cross is the check in for the Royal Mile Residence. The Street address is 65 Cockburn Street. The receptionist will then assist you to the Royal Mile Residence.
• Edinburgh Bus Station:
• Take the St. Andrews Square exit and turn left upon existing the bus station. Walk until you reach Princes St and then turn right. Cross at the first pedestrian crossing and continue down Waverley Bridge. Follow this through until you reach Cockburn Street. The check in is located on 65 Cockburn St, next to the Southern Cross Café. From here the receptionist will then assist you to the Royal Mile Residence.
• Airport
• The Airport is 8 miles from the Royal Mile Residence and there are two options:
• Take a taxi to 65 Cockburn Street to the Check in. this should take approximately 20 to 25 minutes dependent on traffic.
• Take the Airport Express bus. This departs approximately every 10 minutes during peak times. Stay on the bus until it terminates on Waverley Bridge in the Centre of Edinburgh. When you get off the bus turn left and head across the road and up Cockburn Street. The check in is located at 65 Cockburn Street next to the Southern Cross Café. From here a receptionist will then assist you to the Royal Mile Residence.
• Driving
• From the South:
• Follow A702 into Edinburgh; turn right onto A720 toward Dalkeith; turn left off A720 onto A701; this then runs into the A7; Follow this road all the way into town until you hit the High Street (or the Royal Mile); turn left into High Street, then follow into Cockburn Street. The check in is at 65 Cockburn Street next to the Southern Cross café.
• From the West:
• Follow the M8 and signs to city center; head along Princes St, and turn left at the lights into Charlotte St; then turn into Queen St; follow Queens St till you come to a roundabout; turn right at the roundabout, so that you are heading back towards the city; stay in the left lane; turn right at the set of lights at the top of the hill, then a quick left onto the North Bridges; stay in the right lane, then turn right at the first set of lights into High Street (or the Royal Mile); then take the first right into Cockburn Street. The check in is at 65 Cockburn Street next to the Southern Cross café.
