Riad Layla Rouge Reviews from the Web

The place is very ideal, right in the Medina also Lhousain was the best, we speak French, English and Arabic, he helps with everything, he will given go and get you items from the Souq for Moroccan prices.

Lhoussaine is amazing. He took care of all our needs especially breakfast and finding us a van to the airport. Great place to visit. I recommend it highly. No toilet door or shower door if you get the private room on 2nd floor of you travel with others. Other than that, the place is great. I left my shirt there so hes finding a solution to deliver it to my next location - Im praying! Thanks.

AMAZING! This place is a gem off the beaten path but still a 5min walk from the Medina. We were taken care of and felt very welcome. The host Lhoussain was extremely respectful and responsive. He helped us get around and find cool stuff to explore.

Incredible little hostel. The price is great and the Moroccan breakfast, views of the city from the rooftop, and friendliness of the hosts make it a great value. Would absolutely recommend.

First thing to say is that Lhossaine, the guy running the place, was amazing - hed stay up till everyone was back safe then woke up super early to do breakfast, he also came to walk us back when we were uncomfortable walking through dark alleys at night. The riad itself was really pretty and had a great rooftop. Breakfast was really yummy too. The shower was great, hot water didnt work very well and you had to hold the shower head. The A/C wasnt amazing which was a real necessity in 40+ degree heat. The bunk beds were also very wobbly which was a bit of a nightmare if youre on top bunk. Also down a really quiet dark alley which wasnt my favourite to walk down at night as a female.

This is my go-to plsce in Marrakech because of the chill atmosphere. Hostels in Marrakech are generally nice-looking, so no need to comment on that. It's the people and the staff (in this case, Lhossaine) that really defines the experience, and Lhossaine is quite accommodating. Little things like remembering whether you prefer coffee or tea for breakfast or making sure that you have fresh sheets is great.

This hostel is the real jewel of Marrakech; perfect location, shielded from the crowds and noise, with a very cosy relaxing athmosphere. There is a lounge room to meet and hang out with people and several rooftop terraces. Rooms are clean and very nicely decorated. But I absolutely loved the stuff and their genuine friendliness. They also provided invaluable information. Overall, one of the best stay ever.

The staff were super helpful throughout my stay! The location is great right next to the market

I loved staying here because it really felt like home away from home. Theres a cool lounge on top of the roof, the place was clean, the food was great, and I have to give a special thanks to Abdullah. He welcomed me in like family, showed me where to get the best haircut and also looked out for me when I had a personal issue. I will be back very soon with some friends and only staying here.

beautiful hostel.. great amenities and easy to meet people. Was not expecting how nice it was.

Great stay! Perfect location and amazing staff ! Enjoyed some beers on the roof.

fantastic host super helpful and welcoming, great central location and the breakfast was lovely

Fantastic. I've never been to a hostel where the staff, i.e., Abdullah, was willing to go so far out of the way to make sure everyone enjoyed their stay. Great value, and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Marrakech.

This was a great location, staff was always ready to help. The vibe was of an international meeting point with travelers from around the world. The location was central to all the shopping and food you need. We had a group of 9 and everything we needed was right in the city!

Lovely little riad. Staff were so friendly and helpful with sorting out trips, giving advice on surviving the souks etc. Nice atmosphere, met some lovely people. Great breakfast too. Extending my stay was no problem

Great place to stay. Staff was really nice and helpful. Fully recommend this riad

Had a fantastic time, the staff are always willing to help, the pool is lovely and you can even leave your bags if you go out on excursions in a secure space they provide

I had an amazing time there, the staff is really nice and the atmosphere is great. Make sure to check out the rooftop, the view is absolutely beautiful. When Im in Marrakech again, I will definitely come back to this place.

Amazing!! Host ayoub is the best!!!

The staff is so nice, best staff I have ever experienced. The atmosphere is great too. They unfortunately only have small lockers so you cant lock your bag away, but you feel safe:)

1 minute from Place D'Jeema el Fna in the centre of the souqs and the first ever edible hostel riad for adventure hungry travellers in Marrakech The free tea and cake– may stop you from trying to bite into the walls – or maybe not... Have a taste…

Riad Layla Rouge breathes in the Mad Hatter’s tea party of colour that Marrakech conjures, and breathes out the nearby chaos – a gentler but still eccentric heartbeat

If Riad Layla Rouge could, it would cascade chocolate from the fountain in the courtyard, but the impact is truly mouth-watering nonetheless. Only one minute from the main square, the 3 suites provide absolute privacy, the gorgeous mixed dorm encourages adventure sharing. All can enjoy the warm, communal atmosphere of the courtyard, Moroccan salon-dining room, and 2 flower and fruit tree draped roof terraces. All this enhanced by your own personal soundtrack with ipod speakers in each room, and free wifi access throughout the hostel.

You cannot help but find your favourite colour here – by day Layla Rouge is a vase of flowers or a box of hand decorated chocolates, or an techni-flavour ice-cream stand; by night a treasure chest of glittering jewels, or a sparkling solar system. Use your imagination.

Riad Layla Rouge wants you to get comfy in Marrakech; to feel safe and happy; imaginative and inspired – we combine a hostel spirit and atmosphere with that little bit of indulgence that you find in a luxury riad. Share your stories of travel and life. Laugh over tea and cake with other guests in our (almost) edible house.

As the Mad Hatter said to Alice: ‘You could stay…What a mad, crazy, wonderful idea…’
Whether you are travelling for the first time, or have done so for years – enjoy the rhythm of a city that transforms with the cycle of the sun. When you stay at Layla Rouge you can’t be anywhere else but the Wonderland of Marrakech.
