Clean, modern, homey, and value for money
Really loved my 1n stay in H132 hostel as it was conveniently located near Taipei Main station, a leisurely stroll to a nearby night market and was in a safe neighbourhood. Room was clean and neat, toilet smelt of disinfectant, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel was provided in sachets and towels were provided at no additional costs. Staff was really friendly and gave us great recommendations. Would definitely recommend this place to my friends.

Great location and comfy bed!
This place is awesome! the furniture and setting is really amazing. The common area is huge and you can chill there with your friends and it feels just like home! The bed is superbly comfortable and the shower is marvelous! getting to the MRT is really convenient and it is also very near to Taipei Station! I can only say the pictures in the introduction could not tell how lovely this place is. I will certainly come back again on my next visit! Keep it up!

Super cool
super cool place, with nice & helpful staff, chic & modern space and convenient location. Will book here again next time in Tai Pei.
STAR Hostel (Taipei) is clean, budget-friendly, and centrally located in the bustling Taipei. The Location It is located in downtown Taipei on a street known for women's shopping, just three minutes' walk from Zhongshan MRT and ten minutes' walk from Taipei Main Station. There are no visible signs except for a small label on the door and a large 132 sign. The main entrance is a light brown, wooden door squeezed between two shops (Wa Obi) is one of them. There is a buzzer to gain access through the front door. Once inside, there is a long set of stairs that leads upstairs to the lobby. There are no elevators! Rooms and Bathrooms The dorm rooms and free linen provided are very clean. Dorm rooms are a little small but this is expected in Taipei as space is limited. There are in-room lockers which require a safety deposit. There is also key access to each rooms as well. There is an air conditioning unit located in each room, which can be controlled from the room. Windows are double paned and block out the sounds of the city very well. There is one washroom located beside the reception and only one large washroom located on the floor housing the dorm rooms. Double and private rooms have ensuite washrooms. The dorm washroom is unisex and contains three sinks, three toilets, and two showers all which are modern, western style and separated inside the large bathroom. The showers have a double door, which allows you to change with out getting wet or having to go back to your room. The washrooms is also frequently cleaned by staff. Common Spaces The common area is clean, bright, and open concept consisting of one large open space that contains the kitchen, dining area, lobby, front entrance, and TV area with a few couches and chairs. The furniture is new and modern. There is one computer with internet access that is free for guest use along with Wi-Fi throughout the hostel. The hostel consists of five levels with front entrance at ground level, lobby, reception, and common areas at level two, dorm rooms at level three, and double and private rooms on level four and five. There is also terrace/patio area on the fifth level, which houses the laundry facility and a place to dry clothes. There is free luggage storage provided as well as free breakfast. The breakfast consists of toasts, various fruit, and tea/coffee. The hostel has a great vibe during the day with guests coming in and out. There is a stereo playing throughout the day and staff at reception will help you with your route planning. At night, the hostel quiets down and is a nice place to chill and chat with fellow travelers. However, Taipei has great night life so some travelers may come in very late causing a disturbance so it is wise to bring earplugs. There is no smoking allowed in the hostel but is allowed on the terrace. Summary This hostel is an excellent option to stay long or short term as it serves close to everything you need (MRT, 7-eleven, restaurants). The staff are extremely kind, social, and helpful and speak good English. The hostel is kept very clean (bring slippers, you will need to take off your shoes before reaching the reception desk!). This hostel is definitely recommended!
