• Big Tree Lodge Methven is located at 25 South Belt, two streets from the town centre of Methven Mt Hutt Village.
• From Christchurch head south towards Timaru on State Highway 1. Look for the Big Fish on the right just over the Rakaia River Bridge and turn right before the Mobil petrol station. At the roundabout turn left towards Mayfield down 'Thompsons Track' (about 18kms) then follow the signs for Methven (about another 18kms). At the main intersection in Methven with the Blue Pub on your right, turn left down the main street (SH77) and South Belt is the second street on the right. This is the quickest route.
• From Queenstown and the inland lakes: The short route for those in a hurry: from SH8 in Fairlie, turn left at the sign to Geraldine and follow SH 72 (the Inland Scenic Route) until Mayfield then turn right at the major intersection just out of Mayfield where you then turn almost immediately left (signpost says Rakaia). Keep on this road till you come to a T-intersection, and then turn left as the sign post says to Methven. When you come to the 50km sign South Belt is the next left go down to no.25 on the left.
• For those not in a hurry take the scenic route along SH72, turn right down Pudding Hill Road towards Methven turn right down Hobbs Road and go round the back of the Golf Club, further down the road this becomes South Belt. After Wayne place we are on the right down the driveway to the right (nice and quiet!)
