The Pink Palace used to be one of the most famous hostels -- if not the most famous -- in Corfu. It is very big, with three different buildings covered inside and out with its namesake color (pink). It is located on the west side of the island and it is well known by locals and expats, so it is easy to find.
The Location
As mentioned, it is located on the west side of Corfu Island in the village of Agios Gordios. It can be reached by bus from the airport and the harbour, and also the hostel itself organizes some private shuttles. The three buildings that make up the hostel are quite close to each other, but the first one is on top of a hill and the last one is down the beach, so it is quite a long walk (about fifteen minutes from the two). Parking is available for free to customers, so it’s an advantage for those renting a car. In the little village you can find supermarkets, shops, and all kind of services. However it is a bit of a walk from the hostel, especially the beach building, to the village.
Rooms and Bathrooms
It offers all different type of accommodations, including dorms and privates. When the hostel is full, customers can be spread across the three locations, but when there are not many people, all guests go to the building by the beach, which also has a bar, a pool, and some sport fields. Rooms are fairly big and clean. Bathrooms as well are clean and are found all around the hostel. Some rooms also have en suite bathrooms. There is hot water in the shower and soap is provided.
Common Spaces
Common spaces are the best thing about this hostel. There is a large swimming pool, a gym that guests can use free of charge, a volleyball court, and a basketball court. Also, there is a bar that faces the beach where parties are organized at night. Unfortunately, only a few guests were staying when we visited, so the vibe is pretty much nonexistent and no activities are organized. It used to be an amazing place to meet other people, but now we find that with few guests it is hardly possible to meet fellow travelers.
Summary
All in all, prices are above average for hostels in Corfu. Once known as a party spot, now this hostel can be a good choice for those looking for quite a time on a higher-average type of hostel.

The Pink Palace is a backpacker's paradise. The Pink Palace is located on its own private beach, overlooking both the emerald waters of the Ionian Sea and the lush mountains surrounding our bay and most of Corfu Island. With a pool size jacuzzi, various water sports, satellite TV, island and old town tours, cliff diving, snorkeling, fishing trips, water and land adventure tours, our volley ball court and basket ball, internet, FREE WIFI, book exchange, boat trips, Free Movies, and Backpackers staying with us from all over the world, there is always plenty to see and do at the Pink Palace all year round. No European experience is complete without a visit to the Pink Palace. For just 22 Euro p.p. per night you get private rooms, cooked breakfasts, and 3 course dinners. Free pick ups from the port or airport. We meet all the boats. Reservations are recommended, but they are not necessary. • Situated on the west side of the Island, right on the sandy beach of Agios Gorgios, just a 15 minute drive from Corfu Town, the port and the airport.
• We meet all the ferries from Italy and Igoumenitsa (the maiiland of Greece) and we provide all our guests with FREE PICK UP. Please email Magda at: gmagdalena @ hotmail.com or call or text her at: 0030 6945230727 and let her know you are arriving and she will be there to pick you up.
• You can also take a taxi to the Pink Palace and DO NOT may more than 25 euros maximum.
• You can also take a bus to AGIOS GORDIOS BEACH or SINARADES, from the GREEN bus station which is near the port, behind hotel IONION.
• If you arrive from the airport between 11 pm and 6 am you can take a taxi and we will give you back 10 euros.
• But is best to always call us, or you can wait for the early pick up.
