Nice Hostel with friendly employees
I stayed at this hotel last October during my U.S.A. trip. It's located in a nice area of NYC. With the metro you are in fifteen minutes in Manhattan. The rooms are a little bit small but very clean and nice. The bathroom are shared and as we stay there the bathrooms at our floor has been renovated and were also very clean. Also you are able to go to the own bath or gym. The employees there are really nice and polite. We really enjoyed our stay there and I can recommend this YMCA. The one and only disadvantage is the traffic noise, which disturb you even at closed windows.
Liked it
Flushing hotel is very cheap. i went in november, and stayed for seven days.
staff was very respectful, and i brought my own bed sheets. it was clean, i have nothing to complain about. the only problem was not having a sink in the room, and had to share the bathroom. i will recommend it for those who are on budget, the only thing is taking the subway to manhattan was a bit confusing but you get use to it. you cannot get lost. The receptionists are very courteous. will be back this summer.
It was something terrible: it smells bad, a constant flood in bathroom, the linens haven't been changed during fifteen days (I asked four times to change it). The room was dirty and carpet smells like dirty socks. I don't suggest to live here.
This hostel is tiny!! It's not worth the money.
This hostel in the lively neighborhood of Queens, known for its Chinese Market. The surrounding shops and restaurants offer a variety of food and amusement possibilities, and the hostel offers cosy rooms in a nice atmosphere.
In the rather small but clean rooms it is easy to settle down afer the adventures of a day in NYC. There is even a daily room service. The shower and washrooms are clean and in good condition. The staff is very friendly and helps out wherever it can. The atmosphere is pleasant but it is hard to get in contact with other guests since the hostel lacks a common room. That's a result of the YMCA having many more functions than just the hosting of guests, such as sporting facilities and entertaining.
