Livorno is a very beautiful city, with great restaurants, opera, and amazing beaches around it. Livorno hostels are located in the outskirts of the city -- that is not great, as the beach is not very close. Moreover, hostels in Livorno are not cheap.

In general, there are a few nice historical sights that could be visited in a day or two; if you do not have nice weather during your stay, there is not so much to do in the city.
