The Hostelz.com Review
HI - Tours Hostel is very big -- it has about a hundred rooms, but most of them are one- or two-bed, only six dorms with three beds, and only one for four persons. Single and double rooms are twice more expensive. Hostel is not very clean but it's ok.
The Location
It's just a few minutes' walk from the old city, with its beautiful old buildings and loads of cafes, bars, and restaurants with all ranges of prices. There is free car parking not very far from the hostel. Hostel is quite far from train and airport shuttles station (in about a kilometer) but there is a bus station nearby.
Rooms and Bathrooms
Rooms are pretty clean. There is a sink and mirror in every room. Rooms have in-door lockers but there is no personal lockers inside. There is also a large wardrobe. Shower and toilet are common and we can't say it's very clean -- it seems like it's a little bit difficult such a large hostel clean. There are no shelves or racks for clothes in the shower cabin.
Common Spaces
Kitchen is clean and has all necessary equipment like a cooker, microwave, and kettle. There are more than ten tables to give seat for many guests. But atmosphere does not lend itself to chatting. Families with small children stay in this hostel, so it's very quiet. Reception is open twenty-four hours and staff are very friendly. You can find a lot of booklets and fliers with tourist information in reception.
Summary
It's a large and quiet hostel, but not very clean. But it's open twenty-four hours and has reasonable prices even for private rooms, and it's situated near the Old City.

Average I had my own room with sink. affordable. own keys for front door and room. a bit far from anything. staff were confused, older lady was nice though. no people on staff at night -- only one person on the ground floor, I think? reception is closed from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. I believe. So if you arrive at 2 p.m. like I did you have to walk around with your bags for hours. — kevin , canada (2008-05-03)

The dark hallways in this hostel give the immediate impression of gloom, and you adopt an attitude of trepidation as you open your door. However, I received a pleasant surprise on the other side. The double room was made up with sheets that positively crackled with starch. The window opened onto a pretty street with little traffic noise. The common areas are bright and fun, in spite of smoking being allowed. The breakfast is decent. Despite (or perhaps inspite) of the darkness of the halls, things are quiet at all hours. A refreshing stay. — Katie (2003-06-14)
