The Hostelz.com Review
Pensao Pachica is set right on the waterfront of Inhambane, with nice views of Maxixe on the other side of the strait. It's a clean old pension turned youth hostel. It could do with a bit of renovation, but they're slowly working on it.
The owner, Mrs. Isabella, and the local staff are very friendly. There is no common kitchen, but they'll let you use their "restaurant" kitchen if you ask nicely.
When checking in you get a small map with all the information about the town you may need and the directions for a self guided walking tour of historical Inhambane. The chapas (minibuses) to Tofo Beach, and the big buses to Maputo leave nearby.

Pensao Pachica is absolutely the best budget place to stay in Inhambane. It is clean, comfortable, very friendly, has good food and a great location. Highly recommended! It's now under new management - Dennis Adams - great guy! He went out of his way to look after us. — Fuzzy Salt (2006-07-01)

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The rooms out back were a little stuffy, but there is a nice common seating area outside in the back to sit in. It is right on the waterfront; you can sit at the table and chairs and enjoy the view. Also if you have heard their pizza is good, you heard right. — Anonymous (2005-07-27)
