Hostelz.com's Review
Yulia Homestay, this bungalow homestay located on the south east coast of Bali in the Sanur region, is perfect for a one-night stay or for a whole holiday. The location is right in the center of Sanur only a five-minute walk to the beach. To get to the homestay from Denpasar airport you need to take a taxi -- it is about a thirty-minute journey, through traffic! The homestay lies on the northern part of Sanur and makes for a great location, should you want to stay in the center with all the shops and restaurants.
The rooms are all alike -- well-sized with a bed and night tables. There is a bathroom in the room equipped with a sink, toilet, and salt-water shower. The rooms are reasonably priced with breakfast included (usually toast, fruit, and tea or coffee). All rooms also have a porch or terrace with furniture to sit out and watch the sun set over the rooftops.
The atmosphere is friendly and the staff, all members of a family that has owned the place since its birth, is willing to help any of your needs. The bungalows are more of a hotel than a hostel in that there is not a lounge area where backpackers hang out, however there is a restaurant on the property where you can meet up with others. A perfect getaway in the center of Sanur!

Very Nice Stay for a Very Nice Price! We visit this Hotel twice and every time Ketut was very friendly and helping. When we go again to Sanur we book this Hotel for sure. — Ben, age 69, Dutch (2013-05-24)

Charming, pretty, friendly staff, Excellent value We have stayed here three times in two years. Ketut who runs it is a delight: he tends his birds, garden and aquariums with great love and care. The garden is truly glorious: one of our favourites in Bali. The breakfasts are amazingly generous for the room price. The rooms are basic but adequate. Worth paying a little more than the lowest price to get a better bathroom. Perfect location for everything. — Claudia, New Zealand (2013-01-07)

Beautiful and Peaceful hide away for bali lovers!! We first stayed here around 10 years ago, it was great then and it continues to improve every time we visit. The owners are lovely and we feel part of the family now. We have stayed as a family, a couple as well as with a group of friends. P.S Its the type of place for travelers/ older people who want cheap, peaceful accommodation, who enjoy the bali life style and dont need a pool and air con every day. Love it!! — Tucker Family, Australia (2012-01-04)

We would love to stay here Ketut and family our friends We go here regularly, it's cheap, welcoming, and peaceful (older families) I would love to live in Bali for three to six months. rent a bike, bemo, day trips, eat at Benos, or Bonsai. You dont want air con, get ice from the 7-11. — Steve and Deb and Bree tucker, Australian not Austrian (2007-09-17)
