Hostel Schwerbach

Hostel Schwerbach is located in a small village about ten minutes away from Hahn airport. There is minimal public transport in the area, however, a complimentary pick up is included in the price of staying there. It is also possible to get a ride back to the airport bus station, which has connections to a wide range of nearby towns/cities including Frankfurt, Cologne, Heidelberg, Luxembourg, Saarbrucken, Mainz, and Trier. Schwerbach is a small village -- there is not very much to do and there are not a lot of facilities. There really is not much more than a main street, on which the hostel can be found.

The owners are very friendly and the hostel is a delightful place to stay -- whether en route from/to Hahn airport or just to enjoy the tranquility of this quiet part of the Rhineland Palatinate and the nearby winegrowing areas.

The rooms are kept clean and the showers always deliver warm water. There are no kitchen facilities per se but a decent organic breakfast (coffee/juice, bread and jam, yoghurt) is available for a few euros. The kitchen area is a large open space with plenty of seating -- this is the main common area, apart from the outside garden.
