3  Hmm, where to begin. Well, for starters, the place is very close to the train station, they're not joking. This is a definite plus! The thing is, you better make sure you have the actual address of the place, because there is almost no indication there's a hostel there -- the door is actually right next to a toy store i think. It can get a little loud outside at night too, as it is right next to a main road, but that's not that big of a deal if you're used to sleeping in dorms. What is a big deal, is the security situation. First off, it is really hard to get into the place; in fact, I'd say out of all the hostels I've stayed in, this one is the Fort Knox of them all. However, once inside, there is almost no security or supervision at all! The weekend we stayed there, there was also a rowdy group of college age guys in their own room. I wouldn't mind too much if they were just kind of loud, that's natural. But these guys were running down the halls throwing things at eac hother, dumping over the potted plants getting dirt and rocks in the corridors, evidently having water fights in the bathrooms with the shower nozzles, i could go on forever. The point is, there was no one in the building (or they just didnt care enough) to supervise. I mean, you had to put in security codes like two or three different places just to get into the building, but i didn't feel too secure, expecially leaving my stuff in the room all day (there are no lockers!). Oh one other thing, the reception has crazy hours, so you might want to call ahead. We got to Uppsala around twelve, but had to walk around town with our packs for four hours waiting for them to open! We had to go find the TI across the little river to even find out what their hours are (four p.m. to seven p.m. if memory serves). Anyhow, if you plan on going to Uppsala (beautiful town, you need to see it at least once) and need somewhere cheap to stay, this place isn't bad. Just be informed, and if you're worried about someone getting in your stuff, I wouldn't bring anything you can't live without, just in case.  ()
