Playa Samara Hostels

Playa Samara, or Samara Beach, is a truly blissful beachside town where you can spend days walking in the sand, soaking up the sun, eating delicious fresh seafood, and practicing a variety of water sports. Although the Pacific Ocean waters are not rough in Samara, it's an ideal place for surfing for beginners; there are several surfing schools along the beach line, but you have to wake up early if you want to catch some waves to practice, as the ocean tends to be rather still as the day advances. At these schools and other tour agencies in town, you can book boat trips that will take you to nearby spots for snorkeling and scuba diving. Horse rides in the countryside are also a popular option for those looking into doing something else not water-related.

Food in Samara is delicious, as ingredients tend to be really fresh! Prawns, mahi-mahi, and other kinds of fish are always available for rather affordable prices in the local restaurants. Eating joints by the beach will be a bit more expensive (in comparison to those in town, three minutes away by foot), but you can't beat those views!

Playa Samara hostels and accommodation options can be found along the beach line, usually in the shade of the palm trees or on the main streets in town itself. If you visit during the hotter seasons, it's recommended to book a room with AC or at least fan as it does get rather hot! But that's why the sea is right there, so you can enjoy a refreshing dip into the Pacific!
