"Hide on Jeckell Hostel is a nice three-floor building (although only two are accessible to guests). The ground floor being on half floor, most of the rooms are half on the basement but still get day light. The five rooms downstairs are named after continents so you can be sleeping in Asia, Africa, or Australia. There are several bathrooms all over the building. They have a nice and well equipped kitchen even if it is sometimes small for the twenty-two guests. Around 7:30 p.m., you will...
"The Beez Kneez is a small hostel located several blocks from downtown Whitehorse. Despite having been converted from a two-storey home, the building and property have been arranged to optimize sleeping and living space. Both dorm-style and private accommodations are available inside the house, with additional private rooms available in a pair of small cabins in the back yard. Standard amenities include two washrooms, two shower stalls (conveniently separated from the washrooms), a shared...
"Well, I can certainly say there was color added to my Yukon experience by staying at this hostel. I just wish I had more time in this absolutely amazing city." … "I stayed at this hostel in 2001. I would not recommend it. It did not feel safe, and was not clean. It also is not used by many people. You check in at a liquor store, with no staff on premises during the night. There are some lodgers who also use the common areas. I would not stay here again." … 2163 Second Avenue

What nightlife? Lots of bars and saloons. And one positive is that all bars are non-smoking now and so are all restaurants. What a blessing. The other nightlife? The bookshop on Main Street is open until midnight in summer. Go to the library for Internet -- open every day. One can reserve up to one hour for one week in advance -- really good service!

Whitehorse is a ton of fun in the summer. All the live music, the food was really good.

Nightlife in Whitehorse during the summer can be awesome! Lots of live bands and local talent, as well as a neat mix of people to meet. Check out "Mamma Martini's" for food or its adjoining bar "Lizards" for really cool live music.

Whitehorse is a great city for the outdoor enthusiast. Make sure you take a dip in the Takhini Hot Springs. If you're looking for nightlife though, look elsewhere.
