1  Scam alert There is a notice on the wall of this hostel that reads "Be nice or leave". What this means is "Submit to the bullying tactics of the warden or you can sleep on the streets". I arrived after midnight having missed my ferry from Rosslare through no fault of my own and having done everything I could to try and catch the boat. Having phoned from Ireland to report my late arrival to claim my pre-booked bed I was aggressively told that I could sleep in the lounge so as not to disturb a woman who was getting up early. On arrival, after an argument, being threatened with the streets and being told by the warden that he had had to leave his girlfriend to sort me out (so much for the advertised 24 hour reception), I eventually got the bed I'd booked and paid for. The only noise I made in the dorm was pushing somebody else's stuff off my bed. This may seem like an ok hostel but for those who will inevitably arrive late at this ferry port beware this scam. Why do I have to sleep in the lounge if it isn't so the warden can get somebody else into my bed and make a bit of extra money?  , UK ()
5  Great friendly place with lots of atmosphere.  ()
