They are also very helpful with recommending what to do and where to go in the city and outside it.
One place to visit while in Palmas is the Praia de Graciosa, which is one of the most visited parts of the city. It is about ten miles away from the middle of town and is a great beach where you can unwind, relax, and engage in adventure activities too. There are some hostels around the beach if you look hard enough, so you will always be only a short distance from the waves.
If you are a nature fan, the Sierra de Lajeada forest reserve is where you must go. It is about ten miles away from the city and features a vast landscape of protected space that is populated with caatinga, a thorny plant, and cerrado plants. It is a tropical region that grows some of the same plants you would find in a rainforest. When you are done here, be sure to come back to the Praca dos Girassois, a massive square in the city center at Palmas that is one of the largest in the world.
