The former steamship M/S Bore is now a quirky hostel next to Turku harbor and Turku castle. Its nostalgic atmosphere brings memories from the 1960's, the golden era of Finland-Sweden cruises.
Our guests can relax in our common room with a kitchenette, small library and TV area. Free Wi-Fi is also available. Free sauna is heated up every morning in the former crew’s quarters.
At the reception we sell tickets to the Bore museum exhibition aboard as well as TurkuCards. There is also a buffet lunch restaurant and a café on board, where the guests can have a tasty meal or drink coffee on the sun deck.
Laivahostel Borea has 43 private cabins for 1-4 persons with a total of 88 beds.
Single (5x) cabins come with a single bed.
Twin cabins (33x) (come with two single lower beds or one lower bed and one Pullman berth wall level.
Triple cabins(3x) come with two single lower beds and one Pullman berth wall level.
Quadruple cabins (2x) come with two single lower beds and two Pullman berths wall level.
Bed size is 190 cm x 70 cm.
Bed sheets, linen and towel are provided and all cabins come with bathrooms, wardrobe and reading lights.
The museum ship Bore has found its rightful place on the River Aura, right next to the Maritime Centre Forum Marinum. The location is ideal: the port is within easy walking distance, and the No. 1 bus brings guests from the airport and bus station directly to the hostel. If arriving with your own car there is plenty of free parking space.
