Hostel Kilimanjaro provides a comfortable, safe place to stay while visiting Tanzania. It has spacious, clean rooms with western facilities. Showers, large kitchen, comfortable lounge areas and gardens. There are ample lockers for guests to store valuables. Breakfast and evening meal are included in the room price. All diets can be catered for, and the evening meal is a communal relaxed affair with input from guests on the choice, and often guests are involved in helping prepare the meals. There is ample kitchen storage for those wanting their own food supply.
There is 24hr hour security at the hostel.. Michelle and her husband live there too, so are available to help with any queries. Michelle is assistant project director for the Kilimanjaro Young Girls in Need (KYGN.org) where she has worked as a volunteer since August 2010. For guests wishing to volunteer at the KYGN she arranges transport to and from the project. She can also help with arranging Safaris, tours and climbs if Kilimanjaro at very competitive rates as she has links with local companies.
Michelle can arrange safe, reliable taxis for airport transfers and general trips around. The hostel is set in a beautiful wooded rural location just a short drive from Moshi town. It is very quiet and safe.
There are three private rooms with a double bed in each, and two dormitory rooms, one with two sets of bunk beds and the other with one set. The four bed dormitory has ensuite shower and toilet facilities, the others have shared.
