Chicago is situated on the shore of Lake Michigan and is a major transportation and financial hub in the United States. If you are looking for a hostel in Chicago, there are a couple of boroughs that you should consider for your stay. The Loop is the geographical center and contains lots of theatres, shopping strips, and the famous Millennium Park. Old Town has lots of nightlife spots, while Gold Coast boasts with beautiful Victorian villas. If you like to stay where the hip and artsy people are, you could choose a hostel in River North with its accumulation of edgy art galleries and cheap eateries.

If you are flying into O’Hare Airport, do not get lost since this is one of the busiest and largest airports in the world. Getting to the city center is possible via subway. Midway Airport is closer to the city center and accessible by train. Getting around in Chicago is easy since there is an extensive public transport system in place. Chicago’s Union Station is also one of the major hubs for long distance Amtrak train, so you can get anywhere in the US.

While in Chicago, take a walk in Millennium Park and gaze at the fascinating Cloud Gate sculpture. Visit the renowned Art Institute of Chicago and catch a performance of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, one of the finest orchestras in the world. Do some serious shopping on the Magnificent Mile and eat some authentic Chicago-style pizza. At nighttime, join the locals and dive into Chicago’s vibrant nightlife (don't worry, most hostels in Chicago don't have a curfew).
