| 場所 | • By Car • The M4 from London links with Cardiff, Neath and Swansea. Alternatively you can take the M40 and A40 westwards linking with the A465 Heads of the Valleys road. From the North and Midlands, the M6, M50, A40 and A438 all provide quick and easy access to the area. • If using the M4 turn off at junction 45. Head north on the A4067 sign posted for Dan Yr Ogof Caves/Pontardawe. After approx.10 miles, and just after a roundabout, take the right turn signed for Ystradgynlais. At the mini-roundabout turn left and follow the road over a river bridge. Turn left after the zebra (pedestrian ) crossing. This is Commercial Street with Merlins 200m down on the right. • By Coach / Bus • Regular luxury express coach services run to Swansea with good onward connections to Merlins. • Connecting buses from Swansea are the X20, 24 and 25. From Neath they are the 63 and 68. From Neath you can also change in Pontardawe on the 146 and 122. • By Train • High speed trains run regularly from London Paddington to Cardiff, Neath and Swansea . • By Air • Cardiff International and Bristol Airports offer scheduled and charter flights. For connections from London see above. Transfers can be arranged. |

Not so good I totally agree, health and safety was never taken on board there. groups of lads would come on stag nights and although there was a sleep in guy it was always intimidating for the locals. A few occasions there was issues with the fire alarm system which a bar worker was unable to resolve due to not being shown. The food was ok, the broth served on first night was tasty but not so filling for our first night after traveling so far. It also seems to small for a band. — anonymous, wales (2012-11-11) First impressions were good but this changed very quickly!!! Attended Merlins on the 30/8/09 at 6.30pm to watch This River. When we first arrived the place seemed quiet and welcoming.Unfortunately within the first hour it filled up with underage drinkers, many of whom were obviously drunk before arriving. The atmosphere became very intimidating to say the least and it became almost impossible to listen to the band. People were very rowdy, shouting over the music and at one point the lead singer was knocked in the face. What concerned us the most was that there were only two ladies behind the bar and if fighting had broken out, as it had outside then they would have been unable to control it. We have seen this band before and were hoping to enjoy them again. Sadly we chose to leave early and missed the second half. Hopefully you will take my concerns on board as its obviously a very popular pub and it would be a shame if a good establishment became tarnished with a bad name. — Mr Davies, Wales (2009-08-31)
