Apollo Bay Auberge de Jeunesses   "We stayed in a private room in late April 2006, and it was very good. If this is the direction YHA is headed with their new hostels, then they should be very successful. The architectural design was a pleasure to be in, and its overall eco-friendly design was professionally done, without preaching at you. The common areas are very large, with two complete kitchens on different levels. Its location a block from the main street is excellent -- very close to shops, eateries, and services, but...  "This is a great little hostel. More like a home away from home as opposed to a backpackers. Fantastic value for money too, and that's before including the free breakfast. Apollo Bay is a great stop-off on the Great Ocean Road, and the town centre is only a 5 minute walk away from here." … "Molly, my irish molly..... greeted us at the door and showed us to our room. What a homely, clean and cosy place.
The two women who ran the place were so sweet and friendly and kept the hostel... "Good value - We stayed in a double room in Dec' .08. Very good value, It was more like a house! The fridge was already stocked with bread, spreads, and milk. Very close to the main bit of town, and there is a supermarket across the road.
