Homey but not too clean Everyone was very friendly but the bathroom in the "cottage" we stayed in was gross. There was mould everywhere and the walls were dirty with God knows what. The people who ran the place were very kind and friendly. The two women who ran the place were so sweet and friendly and kept the hostel in tip top conditions. My fear of spiders went out the window as there was not a cob web in site. Great place. Fantastic value for money too, and that's before including the free breakfast. Apollo Bay is a great stop-off on the Great Ocean Road, and the town centre is only a 5 minute walk away from here. — Vicki (2006-01-21) It's a small place - you feel like you're staying at a friend's place instead of a hostel. It has a great atmosphere and hosts, pleasant rooms, and a clean, well-maintained bathroom.
