The five bedrooms can accommodate around 20 people in a mixture of private double, twin. family & group rooms. There is a self-catering kitchen & dining area in the farmhouse style kitchen or meals can be prepared for you. Breakfast & dinner are available to all guests wishing to be catered for at a reasonble prices. Bikes, canoes & kayaks can be rented from Glenaros Lodge & we also offer guided tours of the Islands of Mull & Iona which combine wildlife watching with sightseeing & optional short walks along the way. Bike tours are also arranged from the house. The house has tv, dvd, video & cd players & musical instruments & games for guests to use & enjoy. There is also a drying room & laundry service. This wonderfully cosy traditional highland home welcomes you & will offer you a friendly, warm welcome during your stay on this magical island. | Localización | The Isle of Mull is the most magical and beautiful of the Scottish Hebriean Islands & one of the most easily accessed from the mainland of Scotland. Three ferries connect Mull to the Scottish mainland & all carry cars as well as foot passengers. The most popular crossing is from Oban to Craignure. A wonderful 45 minute scenic cruise passing ancient castles & many smaller islands & magnificent mountain views. There are buses from the ferry to Tobermory which stop at the gate to Genaros Lodge. We are located just north of Salen overlooking the sea & the ruins of Aros Castle. Glenaros Lodge enjoys one of the best locations & views of the entire island. The other ferries cross from Lochaline to Fishnish, which takes 15 minutes & Kilcnoan to Tobermory which takes 30 minutes. Glenaros Lodge can be reached by bus very easily from all ferries. We can also meet you off the ferry if we are free to do so.Just a mile north of Salen you will see the sign & drive to Glenaros Lodge. We are 9 miles south of Tobermory in the heart of this fabulous island. Glenaros Lodge is up the short driv overlooking the sea. Often whales, dolphins. seals and otter can be seen from the house. Sea eagles & golden eagles inhabit the island whch is a birdwatchers paradise. Often deer & stags wander in the grounds & sheep, lambs & highland cattle are all around. Mature trees surround the house which is a lovely, characterful old Victorian country house with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and peaceful, quiet location. Buses & trains reach Oban from Edinburgh & Glasgow & most majot Scottish towns. The Isle of Mull ferries ony cost between £3 & £5 for foot passengers. Cars cost from about £10 per crossing. Mull is a fantastic cycling location & is a wonderful destination for trekkers & walkers. |
