4 I stayed in Hotel Trocadero in 1978! It is a pleasant memory. I have a star-shaped iron keyring from room seventeen. I was young and thrilled to be in France. I remember it was a short walk to the beach. I sat on a bench overlooking the sea and a man sat next to me and threw his arm around my shoulder. I fled to a cafe across the street. I ordered an "American" hamburger and was served a patty of raw hamburger with a raw egg floating on top of it. I love France and have returned six times.

4 we stayed at hotel trocadero on april 26th and 27th of 2006. we had room #105. the room was smaller but very comfortable, the bed was actually comfortable and was clean. the bathroom was a maximum one person at a time because it was so small but very clean. the location is amazing very close to the train station. i'm not to sure about them saying there only eight hundred meters from the beach -- it's more like a ten minute walk. the only downside to the room was it was a little dark as the lighting is very dim and we didnt have a door handle. regarding the old lift, it no longer is there. they have upgraded to a new elevator. so in that i assume the management is dedicated in constant upgrades and this hotel will get better and better with time. i would definitely stay here again and for a mere forty-five euro a night is well worth every penny. if your looking for a great place to eat that is really close L'Oddysee is right out the front door of the hotel. just look to your left and you will see it. the restaurant has a huge menu that will satisfy all tastes. when we ate here it was all locals no tourists which testifies as to the quality of the food and the price.

4 I liked this hotel! It was nice. The only thing was that our room was right in front of the busy street so it was kind of noisy, but nothing too hard to handle.

4 I stayed here for only one night but it was a pleasant walk from the beach and downtown. Our train didn't depart until later in the afternoon and the staff were helpful in storing our luggage and letting us play cards in the lobby. I would recommend it.

4 I found the staff really helpful and friendly. The hotel is very close to the train station, and it's surrounded by some great restaurants and shops. I had a neat and clean room, and the bathroom had a great shower. A fan or air-conditioning would have been nice, though.

1 The staff at this hotel are totally incompentent and unhelpful. I have traveled through Europe for 6 months and this was by far my worst stay. The hotel is clean and nice, a bit far from the beach, but it's not worth staying here simply because of the staff. I stayed here months ago and I am still dealing with them because they messed up so bad on our bill. BEWARE, stay somewhere else.

4 This is a good value for money. Very close to the train station and lots of shops and resturants around. It was basic, but clean, with fresh bed sheets and renovated bathrooms. The staff were pleasant too and you can leave your bags in a big room, which they kindly ask as well. The only thing lacking was a bin in the room and some fans as it got a bit hot!
