Booked in February for 7 of us (inc 3 teenagers) and we were promised a room to accommodate all of us. On arrival they had no record of the booking despite the fact we had paid through the YHA -- fortunately there was still room although the party was split and half had to change rooms for the second night. We paid for breakfast (E3.80) and had to DIY it due to the manager oversleeping! That said the hostel setting is absolutely stunning and the building itself is beautiful -- making it an experience we will never forget. The guy who runs it is pretty amenable and ensured that our cycles were locked away each night. Will definitely stay again if in that region of France. — Mark Spooner (2006-07-13)

I have stayed in many hostels across Europe and this was by far my most enjoyable experience. The surroundings are incredibly beautiful, very pastoral. It's a bit of a walk from the train station or town, but that is an experience in itself. I remember falling asleep to the sound of running water outside my window. :) The town of Dinan is a lovely medieval village. In addition you can catch a bus/train to St. Malo and Mont St. Michel and all those hotspots. It's been about 5 years since I stayed there and I don't remember paying for breakfast (exceptional for hostel food) or needing a membership. A quiet place to stay for a romantic spirit. I loved it. — Rachelle (2005-11-14)
