Sol de Oro Backpackers hostel welcomes you to Arequipa, Peru with open arms and facilities that are sure to please.Sol de Oro Backpackers offers several types of entertainment facilities to enjoy. We have a beautiful and colorful terrace to have breakfast on as well and relax and enjoy the free wifi on your laptops. Our bar is also located on the terrace and is a great place to pass time with friends. Below there is a green garden with a newly installed cabana. In the garden one can enjoy the shining Arequipan sun and barbeque, while feeling comfortable in your temporary place of residence. Above we have a new movie room with a 32 inch plasma television, along with a selection of DVDs and a playstation component.
We offer games. The games include a pool table, ping pong table, foosball, sapos (a Peruvian table game), and darts. There are two computers with free internet and skype, as well as a stereo to play music. We also have a book exchange (one of one).
There is a fully loaded kitchen to cook dinners and lunch in. In the morning we offer a wonderful breakfast that includes eggs, granola and yogurt, along with local breads and jams, and an assortment of hot beverages and fresh juice!
Our friendly and helpful staff can assist with our laundry services as well as information about the city and the surrounding regions to visit. Arequipa is a beautiful city with a plaza framed by stunning volcanoes, and colonial architecture. Be sure not to miss the sunset behind the volcano Misty, which only enhances the charm of Arequipa.

Excellent location, good value for money. The property has a huge garden with pool table, football table, ping pong etc etc. There is also a movie room with playstation and even an exercise bike!!! We would recommend to others. The owner went to the bus station for us to buy our bus tickets and didn´t even charge us any commission. Staff overall friendly.

Hostal Sol De Oro had fantastic facilities, a pool table, dart board and ping pong table to chill out around and a lovely garden. There were 2 computers for guest use, free of charge. The breakfast was good, the banana pancakes were delcious. The staff were very friendly and helpful, booking taxis and excursions and offering advice on where to go in the city. All in all very happy with our stay and would recommend.

Great breakfast in the morning (although between 8-9.30 you snooze you lose), lovely sunny garden with lots of games and tables and loungers to hang out on. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms pretty clean. Staff really nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hostel its really really nice and relaxed and has a good vibe. Easy to meet people in the communal areas. very fast internet connection too!

The hostel is really lovely, nice and clean and a really good location. It is a great place to relax and has all the facilities you need. Breakfast is good too. The staff were really helpful and very friendly and I would recommend the hostel. If you wanna party hostel this is not the place for you - but if you wanna relax and have a really nice place to stay then it is perfect.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. We arrived late at night and the guy greeted us really warmly and carried our bags to our room. The hostel is in a great location and is really safe. The breakfast was lovely and was such a treat to enjoy whilst sat overlooking the garden. The hostel has a great garden - which the photos on line do not do justice! I have already recommended this hostel to a friend.

This hostel is awesome!!!All is great,the bed,the breakfast,and the atmosphere is so cool!!There is everything you need to have some fun!!Ping pong,baby foot,pool,and bigggg garden!!I reserved here for two night,but finally i stayed 2 weeks!!The best experience in my trip since 4 months!!!In the top 3 of all my hostel!!And really near from the central place...
You will meet John And Yuliana,the owners of the hostel,who are really nice,and allways here for you!!
