5   Great value for the money I stayed here for several months. The place was great. The room was comfortable with an awesome flat screen tv and a nice sized refrigerator. They had free high speed internet. Even though it was inexpensive relative to other places it was still very clean, quiet, and secure. I liked that the rooms are private and have key card entrances. No riff raff either. The staff doesn't put up with any shenanigans, which is a plus because it keeps the place quiet. Will stay here again the next time I am in town.  , USA ()

5   Not quite a Hostel because rooms are private, but you pay cheap rates Great Stay. Very Clean. The rooms are private, but I found no other place in Anchorage that offered rates that low. They rent daily and weekly. My rooms had a HUGE LCD television with a lot of cable channels. Free Wi-Fi. Staff helped my find local bus stops.  , USA ()
5   Better than a hostel This place is something in between hotel and hostel. It provides more privicy than a hostel as it has only private rooms. You can have 1 queen size bed in it or 2 twin sized. There is cable TV in each room with 100 channels plus HBO. Free wi fi which is always pretty fast, fridge and enough room to store your belongings. The key card for the door works for the main door as well and the main door is always locked during the night. They have 2 bathrooms on each floor that are shared with the rest of the rooms but you can lock them from inside and also they have kitchen on each floor that has everything you need to prepare food. There is a laundry room that operates with coins and you can buy detergent from the office. The staff is very friendly and the place is cleaned every day. They have cameras all over the building as well and that made me feel very secure. It was a great stay for a cheap price. They also have weekly rates if you would like to stay longer. Room tip is stay on the 3d floor on the east side of the building, it has a beautiful view towards the mountains.  , Europe ()
2   It's ok for the money, lots of drama I spent a week in one room left and came back for another week. the first room was nice, better then some 4 star hotels -- flat screen tv in the room with a full size frig, fast free wireless internet, better cable tv then hotels, 6 HBO channels -- very cool. What I did not like -- the bathrooms are really really dirty. the house keeper lives on site she dose a very POOR job in cleaning the bathrooms -- very poor job -- and half the time there is no toilet paper. the floor is always dirty the showers are so drity that i would shower at the GYM. she spends about 5 minutes tops -- uses a dirty push mop, mops the floor with it, then the shower with the same one when she walks out. the whole bathrooms smells like urine. They have a kitchen and laundry room, they are kept clean, but the bathrooms are just so dirty. There's a note that someone wrote under the toilet dispenser, reads sh*t stains, date 12-2009 with an arrow pointing at the stains. thats how dirty it is, and has not been clean. The other part is the doors, they slam all night long -- hard to sleep. the Drama starts around 12- 2 AM -- yelling, fighting, drunks, cops showing up, and the doors 20-30 times an hour just slamming. people in and out, its hard to get any sleep between those hours. Other then that for the price not to bad. In the winter you have shady people staying there. As for the staff I found them not to be friendly at all. The AM shift person was ok, the PM guy -- dont even ask him a question. clearly just a Paycheck for him. I think I ran into the owner, told him about a problem and he took care of it right away. Ingra house is a nice place, staff dont really care, housekeeping dose a very poor job in cleaning. I cant blame the house for that.  , USA ()
4   Where I always stay in Anchorage (when I'm the one paying for it) Good value for Anchorage (especially by the week). New, clean, quiet (except for street, which isn't very loud). Big TV (with many channels) and decent-size fridge in room. Reliable wireless internet access in rooms. Well-equipped shared kitchen areas. Nice staff. Just a few blocks north of Denali Car Rental (best deal here). Free parking. Thoughtful selection of paperback books available for guests. Easy location to find, and not very far from city bus route (five-minute walk for pick-up, across the street for drop-off). But, Shared bathrooms (two per floor) instead of for each room. Need to provide own towel, soap, TP. In short, it's not the Hilton, but doesn't cost like a Hilton, either. Also provides more privacy than at the hostels that I've stayed at. Similar to nice-quality dorm.  , USA ()
5   Lovely place to stay with hosts who are kind and very helpful This place is the ideal place for travelers on the move or even for those who wish to linger awhile in anchorage. It is always clean and well kept -- and the facilities are good for cooking and relaxation. The hosts here are always accessible and friendly and will go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. My family had a wonderful time in alaska this summer.  , trinidad and tobago ()
