Welcome to Los Cormoranes Youth Hostel. Our guests will find here a wide range of services and also a warm and efficient welcome, oriented to satisfy the needs of those who know that travel is something more than just tourism.
The spacious and comfort of the bedrooms, the quality and good design of the shared rooms, the hygienic of the bathrooms, the showers and the state of the others installations are the consequence of a simple concept: this is the kind of place that we like to find when we are the ones who are on travel.
Our fares per night per person are very cheap, and include breakfast, linen, towel, soap, hot water (24 hours), individual lockers, check room, safe deposit box, Internet free.
From Los Cormoranes you will enjoy a magnificent view. We are located a few blocks far from downtown Ushuaia, in a place that allows to breath a cosmopolitan atmosphere and the spirit of a small town that constitute the most remarkable sign of Ushuaia.

This hostel does not provide good value for money. There are far better options in Ushuaia, for example staying with families with spare rooms, a more pleasant, clean and friendly stay etc... Staff at this Los Cormoranes were not particularly interested, quite abrupt. Although the hostel has the normal facilities, it was not particularly clean with an awful breakfast option. To be avoided.

Quite faaaaar from the city centre, and all the way up, Up, UP... but don't let that discourage you. All the rooms are outside the main building, and also the bathrooms, which makes it very anoying when you want to pee in the middle of the night and it's freezing or raining. Other than that the place is ok: large kitchen with very good breakfast and facilities to cook, nice common area with internet access and tv. Heated rooms, nice beds but pillows too thin. Lockers in room are very useful (bring your own lock). Not a party hostel, so you will have a nice rest in the night since rooms are separated from the noisy areas. Plus: two lovely cats.

very warm and friendly place to stay small and homey where meeting people is very easy. i stayed here with my friend in december 2004. the staff were lovely. their cat even managed to sleep with us. ok, ushuaia does get a bit boring if you cant find a bar, but with good talk we always managed. the little wooden rooms out the back make a beautiful platform to watch the never dark sky. you can feel too much at home here and not want to leave. — irish pauline (2006-10-03)
