Not very clean. No heating though it was quite cold and rainy. The railway station was right behind the building, 100 m away from our bedroom window. So it got awfully loud every few hours during the night from the cargo trains. The staff were not helpful.

Hostel Turiba is a great value!!! The hostel is far away from the city center but it is not a problem. Nearby there are one trolley bus line to go to the old town (15 minutes) and a train line to go to the train and bus station. The hostel's area is very safe!!

We stayed at the Turiba for 10 days and all we can say is that it is a very good place to stay if you are a tourist in Riga. The toilets and showers are always clean and the receptionists are friendly. The connection to the city center is very good. By Trolley Bus 8 it takes about 15 minutes. Another possibility is bus number 40 to the bus stop. It is a little farther then the trolley bus but it also takes about 15 minutes to center. TURIBA is good place!
