Awful -- bug ridden, Hot, bedbugs, dysentery! God we hated this place. Felt like a Japanese cult group living there. Bugs, no hot water, but to drink! Awful experience. Staff hit on us girls for sex or gifts. They were always asking if we could leave them something extra, as they were poor. Never again. Oh, you have to walk six tall floors up in the building, as the elevator was last used in 1956. You may get mugged in the low dark levels of the building as well, dingy area. Actually anything in souk tawfikia is dangerous. many vagrants trying to prey on dumb tourists out of their dollars -- many scams.
