The price is good and the location even better. But the staff (especially one guy who was during the night on the reception) doesn't care about normal guest! and admit everyone even when their drunk or stoned. We were sleeping in 6bed room and about 11pm came two totally drunk or stoned, suspicious guys and it was very unpleasant... we were worried whole night about our luggage - so we almost didn't sleep this night. we wanted to stay there 2 or 3 nights but finally we change the hostel

I was unwell during my stay at El Guembe and I was incredibly well looked after by the staff at El Guembe. The hostel is set within lovely grounds and has a really nice seating area.

El Guembe is a small place in a walking distance from the bus terminal. The staff is very friendly and some of them speak also English. Rooms are decent (TV, some sort of aircon) and have a small bathroom (and hot water), but there is (a lot) humitidy in rooms. There is also a shared kitchen but is not very well equipped.

The rooms were good with good hot water and air conditioning however the location felt a little unsafe to walk to at night. This place didn't feel like a hostel, more like a motel. Kitchen was quite poor - it was outdoors and you have to ask them to turn on the stove for you, the fridge was in the computer room, which was a little strange. In total, ok if you are staying here for a couple of nights to see the falls and don't mind not meeting other people.

Quite a basic hostel. Staff were friendly and helpful. The 'new' pool 2 blocks away was perhaps new in 2005! We kept being told it was being cleaned so we couldnt use it. After 3 days of 'cleaning', you wouldnt want to swim in it!Air con in rooms was good. Private rooms had cable TV. The shower was strange. There was no separate shower cubicle or curtain, it was just in the middle of the bathroom next to the toilet. They didnt clean the rooms during our stay.Location wasnt great even though the town is so small. Plenty of better places to stay in Iguazu.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and I cant fault the place itself, save that it was too quiet due to the fires in Buenos Aires and a little too out of the way to be able to do anything about it. I was reccommended it as a good place to meet people though.
