This is a great hostel. It's small and friendly, and has only recently opened. There are only three shared dorm rooms which gives the hostel an intimate and friendly atmosphere - there's a good chance you'll get to meet everyone who is staying at the hostel.
The toilets and showers aren't spotless but are reasonably clean. The shower has hot water. The bedrooms are spacious and clean. At least one of the bedrooms has extremely squeaky floorboards, which makes it difficult not to wake up others if you're getting in late or leaving early.
The kitchen is small and has basic facilities. Free tea and coffee are available 24 hours. A free breakfast (in the form of slices of bread that you can toast and jam) is provided. There is a small lounge area with tv and free internet (only one computer). There's also a CD player where you can play your own music. The staff are very friendly and helpful and speak English and are happy to provide recommendations on other places to visit and stay in Chile.
The hostel is located in Providencia which is a fun part of Santiago. It is only a few minutes walk from Manuel Montt Metro Station. The hostel itself is hard to spot from the street - there are no big signs announcing the hostel's presence - only a small notice on the wall.
