Atacama Hostel in Santiago … I spent twenty days in this hostel and strongly recommend it. The owners are very helpful and the hostel is clean and organized, it's a new one. The location is also great, in a very safe neighborhood, close to shops, metro, parks, restaurants. It's really good.

Happy House Hostel in Santiago … I have been travelling for over two months now, and Happy House is the most comfortable and friendly hostel so far. The staff are warm, wonderful people. La Chimba Hostel in Santiago … Ive stayed in over 50 hostels I reckon, and this is without doubt the best one. From all the normal things that should come with a hostel -- hot powerful showers, comfortable beds and free internet -- to other great aspects such as an excellent location for chilling, partying, or seeing Santiago, as well as extremely helpful staff (Ian's restaurant recommendations) and an excellent lounge with great decor. All in all, stay here!
Ecohostel in Santiago … Stayed at the Eco Hostel for one night only, and it was great -- the people who run it are really friendly and helpful, and the hostel itself is well situated and impeccably clean.

Plaza de Armas Hostel in Santiago … This is one of the nicest, friendliest Hostels i've ever been to. The service is good, everything is clean and taken care of. the receptionists are very nice, helpful, caring and fun and it has the greatest view in whole Santiago! I've come back six times after accidentally coming there for the first time, because I can't imagine a better hostel in the city. Thank you for such a great time, you made it hard to leave when I did the last time for who knows how long.
Sazie Hostel in Santiago … This is a wonderful place for those who don't want to stay in crowded hostel with loads of other backpackers. The family who runs it is very friendly, exceedingly helpful and extremely patient with those trying to learn Spanish. The two sons of the family also speak excellent English. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Santiago. It's very central, just around the corner from the Metro and buses and is reasonably priced. I've also enjoyed sitting around in the kitchen chatting or going out on the town with some of the Chilean students who live in the hostel permanently. I would give it 6 stars if I could.
