House Santiago in Santiago … Excellent staff, really friendly and knowledgeable. Great atmosphere; it felt like a home rather than a hostel. The building is an older style but I found it spotlessly clean, a great place!
Atacama Hostel in Santiago … I spent twenty days in this hostel and strongly recommend it. The owners are very helpful and the hostel is clean and organized, it's a new one. The location is also great, in a very safe neighborhood, close to shops, metro, parks, restaurants. It's really good.
Happy House Hostel in Santiago … Beautiful bulding with beautiful staff. Nice place to hang around for a few days. Nice place for a backpackers who like to have the feeling of being in a luxury hotel.
Bellavista Hostel in Santiago … I had a great stay at Bellavista. The staff were amazing friendly, helpful, and spoke very good English. You'll feel like you're staying at a fun friend's house! One of the employees working there took me and my friends to an art gallery opening the first night we got there. definitely buena onda!
La Chimba Hostel in Santiago … Ive stayed in over 50 hostels I reckon, and this is without doubt the best one. From all the normal things that should come with a hostel -- hot powerful showers, comfortable beds and free internet -- to other great aspects such as an excellent location for chilling, partying, or seeing Santiago, as well as extremely helpful staff (Ian's restaurant recommendations) and an excellent lounge with great decor. All in all, stay here!
Bellavista Hostel in Santiago … This is a fantastic hostel in a great location. It's within walking distance of the city center and the Metro. And best of all, it's a great area to go out in. The staff are helpful, friendly and good fun. Check it out.

Hostal de Sammy in Santiago … This hostel has such a great atmosphere with great host Charles and wonderful staff. The facilities are fantastic with more movies you can shake a stick at, pool room, table football, xbox, and free fast internet. The free breakfast is great and the two cats (one a kitten) and dog Sausage make this a really homey place to stay in Santiago. Town is a short walk, you can get the most incredible hot dogs from the stalls on Republica (just around the corner) and the supermarket is five minutes away, next to a great Pizza place. (Cheap and great friendly staff.) This hostel is a winner!
Plaza de Armas Hostel in Santiago … This is one of the nicest, friendliest Hostels i've ever been to. The service is good, everything is clean and taken care of. the receptionists are very nice, helpful, caring and fun and it has the greatest view in whole Santiago! I've come back six times after accidentally coming there for the first time, because I can't imagine a better hostel in the city. Thank you for such a great time, you made it hard to leave when I did the last time for who knows how long.
House Santiago in Santiago … This is a nice place — friendly people in a happy house. Perfect! It also serves fabulous toast.
