Economy Hotel is a small eco-friendly international Green Key award owning historical hotel in the city center, in hipster Kalamaja area in the most popular northern part of Tallinn.
We are one of the oldest hotels in Tallinn, built in 1890 and have 40 private rooms (singles, doubles/twins, triples and one family room that accommodates up to 5). All rooms have shower (bathroom products included), flat screen TV, complimentary WiFi and a working desk. All beds are fully made.
There is a restaurant on the first floor and a small lobby bar at the reception, well behaved pets are always welcome! Please note, that due to the age of this building we can not offer elevator or air conditioning.
Hotel is situated in a hip and trend setting beautiful Kalamaja area, next to Telliskivi Creative City filled with design, tastes, sounds and experiences. Fairy tale-like Old town and totally renovated Balti Jaam Market are 5 minutes from us. You can enjoy many different museums (over 20 in walking distance!), comfy cafes, restaurants, quality fast food, wine- and beer breweries as well as vintage shops, Estonian design, parks, concerts, bars and cultural events within only 10-15 minutes walk.
Conveniently, public transportation stops for buses and trains and the main train station is next to our house, so getting around is very easy! Harbor is about 10 minutes drive, Central Bus Station (for buses to and from different parts of Estonia and neighboring counties) 20 minutes drive and airport 25 minutes drive from us, depending on traffic.
Why Economy? We wish to offer an environmentally friendly approach to travelling as well as reasonable prices. We take pride in reusing old the old! To warm our water and heating system we have solar panels on the roof and air-water heat pumps, in the rooms we have refillable soap dispensers, to avoid excessive plastic mini-bottles, we use non-bleached sanitary papers and environmentally approved cleaning products and our laundry house is approved with environment and quality certificates.
PARKING : near the hotel on address Kopli 4, „Europark“ parking lot. For a complimentary parking spot please contact hotel reception. Motorbikes can park in hotel back yard and there is also a bike rack for bicycles.
