The Hostelz.com Review
Backpackers Düsseldorf is a friendly, comfortable hostel is a good location. To get there, follow the instructions given, or simply walk if you don't have much luggage. It is only a short walk into the town centre, shopping, and the old town. Reception also provides a local map with the location of banks, supermarkets, and restaurants.

The dorm rooms at the hostel are spacious and clean. The beds are comfortable and clean sheets are provided. Towels are also provided free of charge upon request. There are large lockers that fit a lot of luggage in every room. You will need your own lock, but one can be borrowed from reception if you leave a deposit. Otherwise there is no security for the rooms, as locks on the doors are not used. A PIN code is required on the front door to get in the building.

The kitchen is quite small, but there are plenty of utensils to cook a basic meal. Breakfast is provided between 8 a.m. and noon. It is very simple, consisting of bread, jam, tea, and coffee. The showers and toilets are cleaned regularly. Unfortunately there is no hot water in the basins, but it's not a major problem. The showers are always hot and that is more important.

The hostel provides plenty of common space. There is a lounge room with couches and a TV, a dining room with plenty of tables and chairs, and a computer room with free internet and games to play. The atmosphere is relaxed and everyone can sit around chatting. Overall, it is a very nice place to stay in Düsseldorf.

5  Excellent This hostel is a great place to stay. Five minutes by tram from the Alstadt, five minutes from the train station, it is an excellent location. The staff is really friendly, they always welcome you and answer your questions with pleasure and professionalism. The common space is full of couches, the dorms are very big, and there is a lot of space. The only small thing that can be improved is the wash-hand basin, you have two small upstairs (one for men, one for women). But as I say, it is a small detail. Except that, this is a place that I warmly recommend.  , France ()
5  It is the most exciting time or moment in my life. I've been to different hostels in different countries but I haven't been to any like Backpackers-Duesseldorf. It's comfortable, quiet and beautiful-I hope they will keep it up!  ()
1  This is the worst hostel with the scariest, unfriendliest staff I have ever had the misfortune to meet. Yea, it does have satellite TV and an Internet connection, if only you could get the surly, jackbooted staff to get back to reception and give you a turn. The hostel itself is way hard to find from the station. I stayed there in the spring and as far as I could tell there was only one other guest there. There's absolutely no atmosphere — at least not the kind you want. Frankly, this was the only occasion during my tour of Germany where I really felt uncomfortable and intimidated.  ()
5  This is the friendliest, cleanest, happiest hostel in Germany. Trust me, I've stayed in pretty much all of 'em! It's well worth a visit. (Düsseldorf is pretty good, too!)  ()
5  I must say that this hostel, by far, is probably the best hostel I've been to in Germany. It has nice staff, is clean and secure, offers good breakfast, and modern, free internet. It's also well communicated (near DU central station), and is 20 minutes to Alstadt (Downtown) or to the river, which is great. You can even play ping-pong. It's a pretty nice hostel. If you ever go to Dusseldorf, go there.  ()
5  Perfect location to hang around, very clean, super friendly staff.  ()
